The original moka coffee pot has been around since 1933. The man with the moustache on all Bialetti products is Renato Bialetti, the son of Alfonso, the inventor of the Moka. The Moka Express pot was designed in 1953 by Italian artist Paul Campani. It’s made in Italy and features a patented safety valve for easy cleaning and an ergonomic handle. It’s available in various sizes and can be used on gas, electric, or propane cooktops. For induction cooktops, an adapter plate is sold separately. This pot comes in a 6-cup size, with a 3-cup silver model also available.
You can take your moka pot with you wherever you go. Whether you’re at home, camping, or at the beach, the Moka Express is perfect for those who enjoy a taste of home wherever they are. It works with most portable stoves or cooktops. Carrying a moka pot in your backpack is a sign of a traveler who loves to start their day with good coffee, as seen in many social media photos. After use, simply rinse your Moka with hot water—there’s no need for dish soap.
