This is the 2nd time I have purchased this item. I got the first one to see if I could keep a phone cord longer than a week. My Das cat keeps eating them. This has been the only thing she can’t eat. I’m getting more for other rooms in the house. I would recommend if you have pets that like to chew/eat your cords.

THIS CHARGING CORD WILL START A FIRE!!!
This is very DANGEROUS, IT CAN START A FIRE!!!!! I was plugging my phone in and sparks flew! I burned my finger trying to unplug it so it wouldn’t catch my carpet on fire! Do not buy this charging cord! Can you imagine a child getting burned, or a fire starting??!!!

It stopped working after a couple of months
Mine stopped working I ordered it in January and it stopped working this month I had to buy other chargers it was a great charger but it no longer charges at all

as many other pointed out this does not work, at least not reliably. Here’s why. The usba housing is a solid aluminum casting which contacts the shielding. The thing is short circuiting. I left my phone ‘charging’ for a few minutes and the housing was really hot like 80C. My impeession was that shield is basically gnd so idk why it’s shorting but it clearly is. I ground the housing off with a dremel and now it works.
