UREVO may be a new contender in the fitness market, but don’t let that intimidate you. This Chinese company was established in 2022 and has quickly sold thousands of treadmills through Amazon, Best Buy, and other major retailers, garnering numerous positive reviews and a growing loyal customer base. UREVO’s products are often praised for their solid build quality and affordable prices. When we were given the opportunity to try the UREVO Strol 2E Smart Treadmill, we were eager to see if it could be one of the best budget-friendly walking treadmills.
Priced at a reasonable $279.99, the UREVO Strol 2E boasts a powerful 2.25 peak horsepower motor and a five-layer, shock-absorbing non-slip tread belt. Its compact design allows it to fit under a desk, making it perfect for walking while you work. The treadmill can be remotely controlled using a small remote or the UREVO app. Additionally, it supports users weighing up to 265 lbs (120 kg) and can reach speeds of 6.2 mph (10 km/h). While it may not keep pace with some of the best treadmills we’ve tested, its features are impressive given its budget-friendly price.
Review of the UREVO Strol 2E Smart Treadmill
Setup and Usability of UREVO Strol 2E
- Simple assembly and setup
- Weight limit of 265 lbs (120 kg)
- Complimentary UREVO Sport app
The UREVO Strol 2E treadmill was ready for use moments after unpacking. We only had to complete three tasks: adjust the folding knobs with a supplied hex tool, install the device holder (no tools required), and plug it in. Connecting to the UREVO app was equally straightforward, and since no subscription is necessary, we didn’t waste time on payment setup. Assembly couldn’t have been easier.
In terms of usability, the UREVO Strol 2E is not fit for users exceeding 265 lbs (120 kg). While many treadmills offer higher capacity, this weight limit still caters to a broad audience, matching the maximum user weight of several other budget-friendly treadmills we’ve evaluated.

Our first impression of the UREVO Strol 2E was its compact size. With the handrail folded down, the treadmill stands only 4.6 inches (11.7 cm) tall and 51.2 inches (130 cm) long, making it easy to store beneath a bed or sofa—ideal for those with limited space. Weighing a manageable 58.64 lbs (26.6 kg), it also features front wheels that make it easy to move, even on carpets.
The UREVO Strol 2E has two small LED displays: one on the control panel next to the treadmill and the other on the handrail. Both screens provide basic workout metrics like speed, time, distance, and calories burned. When in use, the statistics flash for a few seconds before cycling to the next, allowing for a quick check on the intensity of the workout. It’s straightforward yet effective for maintaining a solid workout routine.
We appreciated the treadmill’s well-cushioned tread belt. We used the UREVO Strol 2E for two weeks and encountered no problems. The belt was quite flexible and absorbed shocks effectively, providing good cushioning for our knees and ankles, which can suffer from the impact of running on hard surfaces. Furthermore, the grip of the belt on our shoes was reliable.
However, the belt is relatively short and narrow, which is smaller than what we typically expect from a walking treadmill. This could mean that taller users or those with a longer stride might find it challenging to use the UREVO Strol 2E comfortably.
UREVO Strol 2E: Features
- Speed up to 6.2 mph (10 km/h)
- Remote control available
- Basic workout tracking through the app
The UREVO Strol 2E includes two exercise modes. When the handrail is up, it’s set to running mode with a maximum speed of 6.2 mph (10 km/h). When the handrail is down, it switches to walking mode, limiting the speed to 4 mph (6 km/h). While this isn’t a wide range of intensity settings compared to some treadmills that offer greater speeds and incline options, it should meet the workout needs of most users.
The treadmill’s controls are straightforward to use. You can adjust the speed remotely via the UREVO app, a small remote control, or the console on the handrail. The buttons are clearly labeled and easy to navigate. Additionally, the remote control can be attached magnetically to the treadmill, reducing the chances of it being misplaced or knocked off accidentally.
The UREVO Strol 2E lacks some modern smart features. While this might not typically be a significant drawback—since many exercise machines function well without them—this treadmill’s name includes “smart,” setting higher expectations. The app mainly allows for speed adjustments and tracking basic metrics like steps, distance, and time, offering just two guided workouts of 30 minutes each. It also has additional features, such as fitness challenges and scenic walks, but these seem limited to higher-end UREVO models that include incline adjustments.
UREVO Strol 2E: Performance
- Smooth transitions in speed
- Quiet operation even at high speeds
- Reliable remote control
There’s much to appreciate about the UREVO Strol 2E’s performance. This treadmill is surprisingly sturdy given its size and weight, remaining stable during fast runs. While the device holder did shake slightly at higher speeds, our phone stayed safely in place throughout workouts. After two weeks of use, we did not observe any damage to the tread or other parts of the machine.
Walking on the UREVO Strol 2E is a pleasant experience. The belt runs smoothly, seamlessly transitioning between speeds while remaining remarkably quiet. In fact, it’s one of the quietest treadmills we’ve tried. Measurements with a decibel meter indicated approximately 30 dB during walking and around 60 dB at maximum speed. To give context, this is comparable to a normal conversation, and the noise at walking speed is similar to the hum of a refrigerator.
No connectivity issues were experienced. Both the remote control and the UREVO app effectively communicated with the treadmill without delay. Regarding accuracy, the treadmill’s stats were generally reliable. While the step count wasn’t always perfect, this is a common issue with treadmills across various brands. After wrestling with connectivity problems on other machines we’ve tested, this level of reliability was refreshing.
UREVO Strol 2E: User Reviews

On the flip side, negative reviews often highlight issues with specific faulty units. One reviewer stated, “I wish I could rate it lower; it’s completely unsafe and poorly made. The
Be cautious: excessive use can lead to the motor overheating and damaging the treadmill’s plastic casing.
