Authorities in New England have discovered two additional bodies, intensifying concerns about a possible serial killer in the region.
On Friday, WLNE reported that a body was found in Taunton, Massachusetts. Officials have not released the identity of the deceased, and an investigation is underway.

On Sunday, another body was discovered in the Connecticut River in Rocky Hill, as reported by that town’s police department.
“On Sunday, April 27, 2025 at 8:53 AM, the Rocky Hill Police Department was alerted by a boater regarding a body in the water near the shoreline south of Ferry Park,” the police department commented on Facebook. “Responding officers and emergency personnel confirmed the presence of a deceased person in the water. The Chief Medical Examiner’s Office was contacted and responded to the scene to aid in the investigation. The individual’s identity remains unknown, and the cause of death is still being determined by the Chief Medical Examiner’s Office.”

Police state that the circumstances surrounding the death are still being investigated. Fox News Digital reached out to the Rocky Hill Police Department for further details.
Rocky Hill is situated along the I-91 corridor. Recently, a different body was located along that highway in Springfield, Massachusetts. I-91 also traverses New Haven, Connecticut, where a previous body was found.
In recent months, 10 bodies or sets of human remains have been discovered in various locations including New Haven, Norwalk, Groton, Killingly, and now Rocky Hill, Connecticut; as well as Foster, Rhode Island; and Framingham, Plymouth, Springfield, and Taunton, Massachusetts.
The majority of the bodies have been identified as female.

The recent discoveries have sparked online theories suggesting a serial killer may be active in the Northeast, although officials have not confirmed any links between the deaths. A Facebook group that was previously titled “New England Serial Killer” has now gathered over 67,500 members after changing its name due to guidelines from the social media platform.

Last week, the Connecticut State Police informed Fox News Digital that “there is currently no data suggesting any relationship between the discovered remains, and there is no identified threat to the public at this time” regarding the casualties in Connecticut.
After the body was found in Springfield last week, officials reiterated that they had no grounds to believe the deaths in Massachusetts were linked and cautioned against unverified claims circulating on social media, stating that “such misinformation can disrupt ongoing investigations and create unnecessary panic.”

“We are tirelessly following every lead and utilizing every available resource,” stated Hampden County District Attorney Anthony Gulluni. “Currently, there’s no evidence suggesting these incidents are interrelated or pose a broader public safety risk.”
