MARINES COMMENCE OPERATIONS IN LOS ANGELES FRIDAY, PREPARING FOR ANTI-TRUMP PROTESTS NATIONWIDE
A U.S. official informed Fox News that Title 10 forces have the authority to temporarily detain people and hand them over to law enforcement.
“Temporary detainment differs from an arrest,” the official clarified. “Marines must not use handcuffs or zip ties. They use an arm hold to guide the person to law enforcement, who will determine the next steps.”

TRUMP RESPONDS TO ‘COORDINATED ATTACK’ ON LAW ENFORCEMENT BY SENDING MARINES TO LA: ASSEMBLYMAN
Organized by the group No Kings, protests are scheduled for a “nationwide day of defiance” across thousands of cities in the U.S.
“From city blocks to small towns, from courthouse steps to community parks, we’re taking a stand against authoritarianism — and demonstrating what democracy truly looks like,” the organization stated on its website. “The flag doesn’t belong to President Trump. It belongs to us. We’re not just observing history; we’re actively shaping it.”
Authorities in Los Angeles reported they have increased patrols and are readied for any possible escalations.
