One-way transfer for iOS users with versions 9.2 to 12.5.7
Photos App (for iOS 9.2 up to iOS 12.5.7)
The Photos app is strictly for managing photos and videos, allowing for a one-way transfer from the memory card to your iPhone only.
1. Insert the memory card containing your media into the card reader. Power on your iPhone & iPad and connect the reader to the Lightning port.
2. Choose the photos and videos you wish to import. You can then view and share them from the Album.
3. The “Photos” app can only read images or videos captured by a digital camera. If your files were not generated by a camera, upgrading to iOS 13 or later is required to access them as per the instructions on the next page.
Transfer photos from Memory Card to iPhone/iPad for iOS 13 or later users
Two-way transfer for iOS users with versions 13.0 and up
Files App (for iOS 13 and above)
The Files app is essential for transferring files between your memory card and your iPhone/iPad.
You can maintain your iPhone’s data under “On My iPhone” and the memory card’s data will appear as “Untitled” (or “NONAME” based on its label).
This allows you to manage and transfer data between your memory card and iPhone seamlessly.
The Files app also supports a variety of file types, including music, PDFs, Word documents, Excel spreadsheets, and more.
1. Place the memory card into the reader, turn on your iPhone/iPad, and connect the reader to the Lightning port.
2. Open the “Files” app; here, you can browse and view files on your memory card such as JPGs, MP3s, Word, Excel, PPT, etc. If you see the files but can’t access them, a third-party app may be necessary.
3. You can delete files or copy and transfer them from the memory card to your iPhone or iPad, or vice versa.
4. If you can view the data but cannot access it, consider downloading a third-party app for opening the files.
What should I do if nothing is displayed on my iPhone?
1. Don’t be alarmed if you’re not seeing anything. The app won’t launch on its own, so go to the “Files” app. Here, you’ll find “On My iPhone,” which contains your iPhone’s data. When you connect a USB flash drive, SD card, or TF card using an adapter, it will appear as “Untitled” or “NONAME” beneath “On My iPhone.” These are default names for most memory cards. If your memory card is labeled “ABC,” you’ll see “ABC” there. Tap “ABC” to explore its contents.
2. Inside the “ABC” folder, you’ll find three options at the bottom: “Recents,” “Shared,” and “Browse.” Ensure you select “Browse,” as the other two options won’t show what’s on your memory card.
3. If the “Files” app isn’t on your device, download it from the App Store. This app usually comes pre-installed on your iPhone.
4. If you still can’t see anything, ensure the memory card is properly placed in the slot. You can check a video tutorial if you’re unsure how to insert a memory card. Remember, the memory card must be in Fat32 or exFat format; NTFS won’t be recognized by the iPhone.
5. You can directly view most file types like JPG, MP3, Word, Excel, PDF, etc. However, if some files appear but won’t open, you may need a third-party app to access them. This is similar to a computer: if you have an MP3 file but lack a compatible player, it won’t play.
6. Confirm your iPhone is a model from 5 to 14. The iPhone 15 and 16 have a different connector that is not compatible with this product.
[Tool for photographers]: This is a photography accessory suitable for Canon and Nikon SLR digital cameras. No app is necessary. After connecting the memory card to your iPhone, wait 5 seconds and then open the ‘Photos’ app to find ‘Import’ to transfer videos and photos to your iPhone or iPad.

It does NOT support printers or hard drives.

Great Item
Nice item to have sitting around the house. My daughter found an old digital camera that is 17 years old in working condition in a box we haven’t gone through in years. She charged the camera and now this item is one of her toys and its and pretty cool conversation piece. Her friends love the old camera. One of the things we noticed right away was that she did not have a way to transfer her pictures. This little device has been a really nice item to help my daughter transfer her pictures over to her phone. The picture quality is amazing and it is an easy item to use. We were worried about the compatibility before making out purchase and it has not let her down.Great item to transfer over old pictures to your phone.

Great! Fast transfer of photos, multiple slots, and nice quality!!
Itâs great! I love it! Its plug is a little thick, but it definitely makes the quality more great! When I plugged it on my iPhone, it was a little big to fit on my phone case, but it depends whatever kind of phone case you have. Overall, itâs highly recommended since it has multiple plug for Usb and others. The card reader fits well on it, and picture qualities are great. The transfer speed was fast and direct when I plugged it in. Itâs definitely easy use to transfer when you have it opened directly at the photos app and you can just directly select your photos however much you want. Itâs also fast when it comes to saving them.

It really works⦠just one gotcha to be aware ofâ¦
This little thing is the bomb! I compete in several dog sports with my two dogs, Punk and Shout! I video all our runs with a 4K action camera (GoPro knock-off). The app doesnât work with my camera, so the only way to scroll through the videos to delete files I donât need is on the camera itself. Itâs very time consuming to watch each video (1-5 minutes long) to see if I need to keep it or delete it. And there is no way for me to process the videos on my phone to post them to FB while at the competitions. So when I found this gadget, I was super stoked. We had a very big 3 day agility competition last weekend, and I was able to use this for the first time. I could easily identify the videos I wanted, download them to my phone, make movies with iMovie, and post them to FB to brag on my dogs. SO VERY HAPPY with the ease of use and reliability. It worked each time I connected it to my phone, it read the micro SD card consistently, it downloaded the videos as selected.I will warn you â do not use the files app your phone to delete videos from your card. Use the camera to do that. I tested it beforehand and only verified that the videos didnât show up when I put the card back into the camera, assuming that the videos were actually deleted. Unfortunately, when I did this over the weekend, even though the videos seemed to be deleted, the file space on the SD card was not released. So, my 128G SD card filled up even though I only had 30 1G videos visible on the card. I missed filming one very important event because the camera shut off because the card was âfullâ. I had to use a different SD card (lower quality) for the rest of the trial. When I got home, the only videos I could recover from the card were the 30 videos, yet the card was still full, even after deleting those 40 files using my PC, the properties of the card still show it full of phantom videos. The only way I could recover all storage space was to re-format the card. So⦠just beware when deleting files using the Files app on your phone, it does not free up the space on the card EVER.As a backup plan, I ordered 2 more high-speed Micro SD cards, so I should not run out of space for another 3 day weekend. Overall, I love this little gizmo and will continue to use it A LOT!

Great Idea-
When I first got this product I was having a hard time getting my devices to detect it. I initially gave it a disappointing review, but I tried some more, reformatted a new SD Card & it was able to detect it. I then tried hooking up my camera to it, & it was also detected. So the product worked well for me, & itâs a great idea. Now I can easily download my photos to my iPad & they are automatically saved to my phone as well. I couldnât be happier.I hope you donât face the same problems but if you do? Try reformatting the SD card or hooking up a different device to it. That might help.

It works!
This works well. I bought it as a gift for a nephew who is getting into photography with âcool retro digital camera sans phoneâ vibes. I got him a Canon R100, but since he is still 16, wanted a quick way to move to his phone and computer. There is a canon app to let you transfer wirelessly, but I like having the flexibility to work offline as well. He really likes how easy to use it is, and has recommended it to some of his âvintage retroâ photo pals. It does what it says at a price that is lower than others. I would recommend for anyone looking for something like this, but I have not been able to tell how robust it is for any use outside a kid who takes a couple of pictures a day.
