Halifax police report that a toddler has died after being struck by a car on Friday night, close to downtown.
Authorities were called to the scene of a pedestrian accident on a street in Bedford, located just north of downtown Halifax.
A three-year-old boy was attempting to cross the road when he was hit by the vehicle.
Paramedics transported the boy to the hospital, but he later succumbed to his injuries.
