Virginia Giuffre, who accused Jeffrey Epstein and Prince Andrew of abuse during her teen years, has reportedly died by suicide.
At 41, Giuffre was one of the most notable accusers of Epstein and Andrew, filing a lawsuit against the British royal in New York in 2021. She alleged that she was coerced into sex with him three times from 1999 to 2002 while she was still a minor.
According to NBC News, Giuffre passed away in Neergabby, Australia, where she had been residing.

Epstein died by suicide in a New York City jail in 2019 after facing federal sex trafficking charges.
“We are heartbroken to share that Virginia passed away last night at her farm in Western Australia,” her family told NBC News. “She took her own life after enduring a lifetime of sexual abuse and sex trafficking.”

“Virginia was a fierce advocate in the battle against sexual abuse and sex trafficking. She inspired and uplifted countless survivors,” the statement added. “Ultimately, the burden of her abuse became too heavy for Virginia to bear.”

Originally from Florida, Giuffre stated that she was recruited by Epstein’s associate, Ghislaine Maxwell, at the age of 16 to work for Epstein.
