Looking for a new iPhone 16 ProMax case? Try one of these!
So I have been reviewing a Torras PStand case for the iPhone 16Pro Max for the past week with my iPhone 14 ProMax while Iâve been waiting on the availability of the 16 ProMax, to protect my iPhone, as the 16 ProMax is only slightly taller than my 14 Pro Max, in order to review the cases MagSafe capabilities as well as to comment on its look and feel to the average individual.First let me say that the caseâs appearance is almost identical to the iPhone 14 ProMax Pstand case, the color I chose was black and it has a âfrostedâ [or slightly opaque] back [they have a couple of others that have clear backs]. The case is almost identical to the iPhone 14 ProMax with the exception that the newer case has a cutout to accommodate the new âcamera controlâ button on the right-hand side. The âcutoutâ is like the âcutoutâ that is used on the iPhone 14 ProMax Pstand case for the âring/muteâ switch, only slightly bigger as the camera control button itself is just that, bigger. It will be interesting to try this feature out with the 16 ProMax once it arrives.The buttons on the case for power, volume, and the 16 ProMaxâs âActionâ button, are all more a âraisedâ button type, vs the âcutoutâ type where you could see the edge of the phone around the edges of the buttons. These âsealedâ buttons will prevent any dust getting inside the case that way.The speaker cutouts match the phones speaker arrangement [four holes on the one side and six on the other] and the USB C port can accommodate many different non-Apple USB C cables.The phones feel is very familiar to that of the 14ProMax in that it is âgrippyâ and non-slippery while holding it and doesnât feel in the slightest that it might slip out of my hand while using it. When placed on its back on a flat surface, the case does NOT slide around with ease, so itâs unlikely to slip off a flat surface any time soon. The stand supports the phone in either portrait or landscape position when opened and feels pretty sturdy when in that position and closes flush with the rest of the case when closed. I have watched a couple of movies and YT videos in landscape mode and the angle it places the phone is good for viewing.Now as for the MagSafe feature the magnet strength is very, very good. I have a MagSafe car vent mount in my Honda, and I drive a little over an hour to work each day, and for the last month there has been quite a bit of reconstruction and expansion in sections of the highway that I drive to and from work on, and I can tell you that Iâve not had one instance of the phone case falling off the mount or falling on the floor of the car, regardless of whether I am on smooth or bouncy, or rough sections of the highway while at speed. It is very strong. I also like the fact that the MagSafe feature works well with MagSafe charging stands, as well as non-MagSafe charging stands.The bottom line is this is a very good case, and I am looking forward to using it with the iPhone 16 ProMax.
