I have it hanging on a metal pole, I have never used it for travel or anything but I am sure it would be excellent for that. Seems really solid, and the magnets are powerful

Sticks like superglue. Be careful of paint
Product clings so well to its surface that it pulls paint off. On a positive note, I drove nearly 6000 miles and it did not budge.

It is advertised to hide the car key, but it is completely irrelevant for this in all aspects. There is no lock on it. There is no way to lock its connection to the car (only magnet). And the most important – it does not block the fob signal. It means that when it is next to the car, anybody can open it.

Got the product I ordered and cost 38.29 but was not aware being a prime member that I was paying a $32 shipping fee. I was going to send back but realized I would not be refunded for the shipping fees I payed so just decided to give it way. The unit was too large and later ordered the correct size unit.
