This lens is the perfect upgrade to the stock lens on the Akaso V50x. The swap was easy enough, plenty of tutorials on YouTube. Money well spent.

Buyer be aware I have had issues with the threads as well on these lenses. 75% success rate. They work good if you don’t get a stripped one. This one ended up running a $40 camera and the lens was shot of course too so I’m the end I’m out about $50. Buy at your own risk!

Zerone Security Camera Lens, 5MP HD Fisheye Security Camera Lens 1.7mm Focal Length 185°….Replaced the standard lens on a WYZE cam V2 with this lens. Semi compatible with case. Good image quality. Focus adjustable. Wide field of view (as wide as I want). The imaging circle does not fully fill the sensor (dark corners) as expected for a fish-eye. Haven’t checked IR yet. Best fisheye I’ve found for a WYZE so far. Wish they had made the focal plane more distant from the front end of the lens.Had to mostly disassemble the WYZE camera in order to install lens. A tiny knife + isopropyl alcohol is sufficient to remove the ‘glue’ that is on the threads of the default WYZE camera lens.It would be best to disassemble the camera to the point of removing the visible / IR filter changer (this requires bending but not breaking plastic) before attempting to remove the glue.Disassembly is straightforward (screws and plastic snaps), video can be found online. Glue removal is rapid with high purity isopropyl alcohol.The lens won’t fit through the hole in the case naturally. Worse, it can’t focus without conflicting with the IR LED emitters. I solved this issue by carving down the plastic support posts which mount the sensor chip (~ 2hrs of effort). This brings the lens mount and image sensor closer to the front of the case; the cabling and wires still reach. The black plastic (IR transparent) case front must either be removed or carved to provide a larger hole.
