Sean Combs’s ex-girlfriend, who claims she experienced degrading sexual marathons with male escorts, will continue her testimony on Wednesday at the music mogul’s federal trial. Combs’s attorneys are attempting to portray her as a willing participant in these encounters.
On Tuesday, during the defense’s cross-examination, the woman, known by the pseudonym Jane, discussed lengthy, emoji-filled texts about their so-called “debauchery” or “hotel nights.”
Prosecutors argue that Combs coerced Jane into these situations, and she has shared that they left her feeling disgusted, used, and occasionally physically ill, noting that Combs often dismissed her discomfort.
The defense brought up texts from Combs where he seemed to genuinely care about her sexual desires. In one instance from 2021, he asked about her fantasies, stating, “we don’t have to be debaucherous lol.” Jane testified that she often sensed subtle expectations in his messages, leading her to go along with the voyeuristic sex he preferred.
“I know my partner and what he likes and what he wants,” she testified.
The trial is expected to have a delayed start on Wednesday, but once it begins in the afternoon, the defense will continue to examine messages that reveal the couple’s tumultuous relationship from 2021 until Combs’s arrest in 2024.
Combs is facing allegations of sex trafficking Jane and another former girlfriend, Casandra Ventura, who also testified at the beginning of the trial. Additionally, he is charged with racketeering conspiracy, which involves claims that he operated a criminal organization facilitating sex trafficking and other crimes.
Combs has pleaded not guilty. His legal team has denied that he forced either woman into sexual activities and claimed that his staff members, including security and senior employees, were involved in legitimate businesses, not a criminal enterprise.
When questioned by the prosecution, Jane characterized the drug-induced nights of sex as “performances,” indicating she participated to please Combs and to maintain their time together. However, in 2023, the situation changed when he began paying her $10,000 a month for rent in Los Angeles. She testified that Combs started to use the house as “leverage” to ensure her participation in sex acts with escorts.
She also shared an incident in 2024 involving a violent altercation with Combs when he was under criminal scrutiny. Afterward, despite having bruises and a black eye from the encounter, he insisted she perform oral sex on an escort against her will. She said she took the Ecstasy pill he offered and complied.
