Keeping Watch
The system is delivered in three boxes, two camera packs and the digital video recorder itself. Each camera pack contains four digital security cameras, four 60 foot extension cables, and one DC power supply, with a four-way splitter. Also included were four mounting screw kits, a users manual and a template to help with camera mounting. The digital video recorder package (DVR) is about the size of a small DVD player. It has three indicator lights on the front of it for power, ethernet, and hard drive activity On the back of the unit, there are eight BNC connectors for the cameras, a network interface, another USB mouse connector and power adapter. The are also HDMI and VGA connectors for an external video monitor. The 5MP 1080p dome cameras are weatherproof, include night vision and have 90° viewing angle. Each camera has 60ft of video and power cabling enough for a small business. Longer lengths are available if you were mounting cameras say outside a home. Having a cable system completely eliminated all WiFi interference we had under our old wireless system. The cameras automatically switch to an Infrared illuminated night mode with the video going from color to black & white.The system can be operated locally by connecting it to a video monitor without the need for an internet connection. With internet connectivity the system can be monitored remotely using free Client software on a tablet, PC, or mobile devices. Each Camera can have Different Record Modes, continuous, scheduled, recycle, and motion-detected recording. The motion detection can be adjusted for people and vehicles, with customizable detection zones for each camera. The video is captured using H.265+ video compression technology making the most of the 1TB storage capacity, without sacrificing image quality. There are no mechanical alarm contacts provided at the DVR but notifications can be sent via e-mail or the Apps with internet connectivity. Backups of video segments are performed to a slower USB 2.0 interface.

DONT BUY THIS. TERRIBLE QUALITY.
This product is a piece of crap. Everytime the power goes out, you have to re log back into the device or it wont work. Last night my husbands and my car car got broke into and when we went to review the recording, GUESS WHAT???… nothing… because apparently the power went out and came back on at some point while we were at work and we didnt realize it. So it didnt catch the scumbags who stole our stuff.The ports on the back of the device are faulty, and the recording rewind and fast forward features make me want to scream.

The image looks very good during the day but at night if there is no lighting the image is of quite poor quality.
