It works well. But you still need to understand what you are doing.
It works great. But it’s not “magic”. It is simply a convenient way to apply some tension as you separate the screen and body on a modern phone. This is not meant to “tear off” the screen.  I tested this on 2 different phones. One had a satin finish back panel and required a strip of standard plastic packing tape on the back to hold suction. To seperate, use the anti-clamp to apply a SMALL amount of tension to a corner of the phone and gently heat. The corner comes up. Pic it and move on. It still requires patience. You still need to carefully heat the edge(s) of the phone to soften the glue. And you still need to carefully work your way around the entire screen with pics, moving the clamp as you go. BTW, IMO a light duty crafting heat gun works best for this, with or without this clamp.

Works but will test your patience a little till you figure out the quirks
I bought this to help change out the ear piece on my IPhone12. The instructions are good and it works but you must hold the tightener as it lifts to keep it from slipping to the release side. Heat and a razor help to remove the screen. It did work and was cheap. I do not regret the purchase. Hope it was a one time necessity.

Didn’t work all that great….
Attempted to use this on a recent repair for my business thinking it would make the process easier, but it did not… The repair was for an iPad 5 Mini, and the clamp almost broke before it even came close to lifting the screen. Honestly kind of mad I spent almost $30 on this thing. For phones, it might be great, I haven’t tried it on a phone yet, but I will here soon, as I have an iPhone 13 Pro scheduled to come in for a charger port replacement. Will update review as to how well it opens a phone…..Update after using on a phone: Literally a waste of $30. The suction cup on the back of the phone pops off long before it has enough pressure to start lifting a screen. Absolute rip off of a product. Do not buy this. Just use some microfiber cloth, and some clamps, and a regular suction cup, and don’t waste your money….

Works under optimal circumstances
This tool is one you’ll be glad to have when you need it. It works well in the single purpose for which it is designed – and under the right circumstances. If your screen is shattered, this tool is not going to help. It has a hard time keeping suction on anything less than a perfect surface. There are included “suction stickers” that are designed to assist with suction on an imperfect surface, but they did not work particularly well for me.The tool requires not only suction on the glass screen, but on the back of the phone as well. If you happen to have a metal strip adhered to the back of your phone for use with a magnetic holder, it is very difficult to maintain suction on the back (which is an integral part of this tool’s design).I found that under heavy tension – like if your screen is really stubborn about coming off – the pivot points on the suction cups will cause the phone to twist in the holder, shifting the plane (or angle) of the phone to the suction cups to an awkward position. You may still be able to separate the screen from the phone, but more likely you will have to reset the position of the device.Bottom line: It is probably better than a suction cup with a pull ring, but not by much – and the price is quite a bit more. That said, I will be happy to have it as my first option for screen removal and move to option “B” if it fails.
