   Good budget option for a shotgun mic
   This microphone has a great build quality. Audio is not quite on par with my more expensive Comica microphone, but it is definitely something that you can work with. I’ve had other microphones that introduced static and other odd noises into my direct-to-camera recordings, but this one does not have any of that. I like the gain dial on the clear distinction of zones depicted along the barrel. The accessories aren’t really anything to write home about. They’re all just above the bare minimum, for example, the ball head has an adjustment for the ball but no separate adjustment for rotation. The dead cat, however, is a nice one, and really the kit has pretty much everything you need to get started. The case is functional and appreciated. I’d say that this is a great option for anyone looking to up their video game without breaking the bank.

   A great mic and a great set. Lots of options, versatile.
   This is a great mic and set of accessories for just about any situation. The mic provides very good audio and it has a decent range.The accessories are really an excellent addition to the mic. You basically get everything you need to get all the jobs done. A real deal XLR cable would be nice but the adapter works decent enough.

   Nice kit. Lots of mounting/connecting options. Having always used analogue mics, I thought it was time to try one with a true digital output. Plugged into my Win10 computer, auto configured as it should, and was recognized by the built in Voice Recorder of win10. Could use the bass roll-off to crisp up my voice nicely. Good loud output. Attenuator/gain on the bottom of the mic didn’t do anything, but it seems, according to the minimal included manual that is correct behavior for the digital/USB output. My biggest concern is that the output jacks require the wires to stick out perpendicular to the mic. While the included analogue audio cables have right angle connectors, no such option for the USB C cable, making its use somewhat awkward, and can make the use easy to compromise/damage. There also seems no way to access the built in battery, so no replacement down the road.The box makes a big deal about scanning the QR blob to obtain a 2 year warranty, but that code only opens a generic Messenger window. Fortunately, the QR in the manual works properly, taking one to an actual registration page to sign up for the advertised extended warranty.The included accessories are of pretty good quality, making the value of the actual mic difficult to determine. Sounds like a step up, but buyers should probably refer to audiophile reviews, especially if you plan to use this for something other than human voice recording.

   Surprisingly pretty good
   I’m surprised at the quality of this shotgun especially for the price and considering the brand it’s usually known for those small lavaliers that you can just plug into your phone. In my experience, those cheap wireless lavaliers have OK quality. So I wasn’t expecting much from this one, but it’s actually really good

   Very Nice and a Complete Kit!
   I already own another Movo microphone and have enjoyed great success with it. I needed a “shotgun” style microphone and this fit that requirement. I have found, again, that the Movo unit provides me superior sound quality. I like the versatility it provides for mounting as I am constantly trying new arrangements. This kit provides multiple accessories to ensure many compatibilities.

   I very often do voice overs for technical instruction and photography videos for work and have been wanting a mic improvement over my generic $50ish mic.I absolutely love the quality and flexibility of the Movo X1 Supercardioid Shotgun Microphone!! I use it with both a Canon R5 and a Canon R5 Mark II and the sibilance, signal to noise ratio and the flexible connection options make this a breeze to setup and use. The Super Cardoid pattern is awesome for any voice application i can think of. Blogs, Voice Overs, Podcasts, etc, any PRO – Semi-Pro application I have faith this mic will excel for me. As a bonus it comes in a great carry case! Great job Movo, exceptional product!**Update**2/7/2025 – I remain impressed with this mic and have now used it on 7 projects with fantastic and reliable results.I will update this review if anything changes within 1 year. A 5-star rating indicates the product meets my expectations for its purpose.

   Good value
   Clean audio, does a good job of only picking up what you’re pointing it at. The high cut and high boost filters haven’t really demonstrated their usefulness for me yet, but I’d rather have them then not have them, at least for ease of use. A lot of those functions can be tweaked after, it’s just kinda convenient to have it all baked in. Included case is really good, fits everything just fine and does a good job of keeping it protected. Vibration isolation works well enough, you’ll still hear the sounds of camera manipulation but it’s not anywhere near as sharp or loud. As a boom mic, I’ve found it works best for this type of application.

   this is an amazing quality microphone that works great for streaming when I do live videos of woodworking projects on my social media platforms the playback sound quality from this mic is absolutely phenomenal. if you do a lot of live streaming or podcasts I would highly recommend checking out this mic for yourself
