A lot of bright for the money
It is a bright light. It has 4 power settings and the lowest setting for my purposes works the best. And it is tiny. You can carry it in your pocket and forget it is there. The price is right and you get a lot for it.

Small package
Like the versatility of having flash and led light in a tiny package. The Lowest setting is almost useless you have to start from the second one on up, the led light is pretty bright with no settings to adjust. is small pocketable and useful when the situation calls for also battery life is good enough.

Amazing little unit indeed.
Amazing how they packed so much in such a small package. Ideal for people photos in close range to add extra kick to lighting.

Nice idea but not thought through.
The idea to have both, flash and continuous light in one little package persuaded me to the purchase. How often do I find myself in a situation when I needed a flash for backlit situations and regretted my laziness to bring additional gear. This one fits in your pocket and can be used on my Sony and Nikon systems. I think the reason why it is cross compatible is because it only gets triggered and dispenses an amount of light whose intensity can be changed but it is not synchronized with the shutter. As a result, the images are always overexposed unless the lowest light dispersion is used. With other words the contacts that establish the communication for correct exposure are missing since they are different for each camera maker. If this handy little combo would have the contacts for the individual camera makers then this is a fantastic little device.

Perfect for travel with a pocket sized camera (with a hotshoe).
Hobbyist photographer with back issues recommends mini flash speed light comboI used to be a pro photographer, but now I like to travel and take pictures of landscapes, my friends and family. I also need to travel light because I have back issues.Modern digital cameras can shoot at higher ISO, so noise is less of an issue in the pictures. However, field flash is very important for photographing in various environments, such as when shooting in sunset environments where you need to be able to see a face and you don’t have a portable reflector. This mini flash speed light combo with a video light is the perfect size for traveling and use with small pocketable full-frame cameras. It features adjustable brightness levels of 1 over 1, 1 over 2, 1 over 4 and 1 over 8 for various shooting scenarios and close-up shots. I also like the fact that it has a video light which can be easily turned on just by pressing and holding down the button. I really didn’t need to look at the user guide to figure these things out. With the flash mode, it has a guide number of 8, so it really is for filling in shadows only. The color temperature is roughly around 6500 Kelvins plus or minus 300. Since this is really small, you can’t really expect this to produce that much light, so the guide number of 8 is something that I am familiar with and is comparable to other flashes of this size.It claims that there’s gonna be up to 500 flashes at full power. I have not tested that yet, however, I imagine this would be good enough for several days of my shooting. Battery life should be more than sufficient. Charging it via USB-C is also very easy now.The video light is useful. There are no different settings for the video light, however, and it is about 200 lux at 0.3 meters with a power output of 1 watt. It’s just a nice addition to have and something that I would be using off-camera in order to supplement the light.I will be bringing this mini flash speed light with me on trips from now on because it is so small and it moves the flash a little bit further up off of the camera hot shoe compared to some other small compact lights that I’ve used in the past. It is very affordable and I’m gonna highly recommend this for people who need to travel but typically don’t use a big flash gun when out shooting. One negative is that the power indicators are also marked in black. This makes it very tough to see; luckily if you remember which side is the full power and which side is the lowest power settings, you will do fine. It is a manual flash after all.I will update this review as I use this speed light more.

Super bright. 4 brightness settings and a video fill mode 1 brightness setting.
For how TINY this thing is, it packs a PUNCH. When I took it out of the box, I was like, “Where’s the rest of it?” There are two buttons: “Mode” and “On/Off”. Turn it on, hold mode and then it will go into Flash mode, press to select from 1/8, 1/4, 1/2, 1/1, and hold mode again to set it to fill light. It is bright enough for a fill at like 10 ft. max. For a flash it’s far brighter with a broader area coverage than the built-in flash on the Canon R50. But it functions a bit better than expected for how small it is. And, there’s zero learning curve, because you can’t even fix it to the hot shoe and there’s only one contact. So, no fancy settings and don’t point your camera towards the sky, because it will fall off your shoe. Either way, it’s become my new go-to flash because of the compact size and brightness. Worth every penny.

Doesn’t work with Canon 5D Mark VI
Does not work with Canon 5D Mark VI. Tried for over an hour to get it configured only to receive this error. As you can see in the photo. It is on, therefore not compatable.

5 Stars for the Price
If this was any more expensive than approximately $20, I would say there a better flashes for a little more money. For the price though, this is a great little flash that you can just throw in your pocket, car, camera bag, etc. It has a low output video light/flashlight and 4 levels of flash output. It’s enough power to get some decent fill flash, which is the majority of my main flash usage when I am on trips. And because it is so cheap, you won’t feel too bad if you break it or lose it. It’s not disposable, but honestly it’s close to the price of something that is.
