Good quality, good photos, not perfect for video
It’s a very affordable lens with extremely high quality for its price. The bokeh is huge, making it a 10/10 lens for photos considering the costânothing bad to say in that regard. However, it makes some noise when focusingânot very loud, but sometimes noticeable in recordings. So, I wouldnât highly recommend it for video. Still, Iâm not lowering the rating for this because I donât think itâs designed for that purpose, but I wanted to mention it so youâre aware.

I love thisâ¤ï¸
This Sony lens has exceeded my expectations. The image quality is impressive, with vibrant colors and exceptional sharpness. Perfect for professional photography or amateurs looking to take their photos to the next level. In addition, the focus is fast and precise, which makes it ideal for capturing moments in motion without losing detail.

great step up from kit lens
really enjoying this lens, great for closeup work. I’m not a professional, but I wanted something for my a6400 that was an upgrade from the kit lens. photos turn out great, makes me look like I know what I’m doing!

Nice lens on a budget
This is a great budget lens.I wound up returning because for the price of the a6700 is purchased, I decided to go with a lumix s5ii (bout a hundred bucks more for full frame, better lowlight, 6k).Unfortunately I’m stuck in a long drawn out amazon return, before I can buy the s5ii.

Good Lens
For what it is, it’s a good lens that fast and sharp. It produces good quality images while being at an affordable price. The biggest issue has to be it’s autofocus capabilities. It is slow and the motors are loud. If you want to take images of fast-moving subjects, I would suggest looking at other lenses but if your work is heavily centered on portraits and you’re on a budget, you should consider buying this lens.

Decent image quality and focus speed results in a decent value lens!
This lens is pretty similar to the Canon 50mm f1.4. It focuses at about the same speed, and it the noise it makes while focusing is similar.Image quality is good enough. It’s sharp, contrasty, flare isn’t terrible and I haven’t had any significant issues with fringing or CA.On an A7 iii it focuses in about 1 second and does surprisingly well in low light. Yes it does make noise when focusing and it seems like it over shoots a bit and then acquires focus. I haven’t had any issues with it missing focus.Overall this is a decent lens when you consider the price. It is comparable with similar offerings from Canon.

Hands down Best budget lens you can buy.
This was my first lens for my Sony 6700 and I used it all the time for photos and video. Clear bright 1.8 ap picture and fast auto focus. Thatâs all you need. Also itâs light which makes a very easy lens to carry around especially on trips. Buy it.

Itâs been only two months that i have got this lens and used it a couple of times. I am so unhappy with it and I am so disappointed with this product. The photos show a yellowish background, especially when I use the multi shutter. I wish I could return it, but the return window is closed. ð
