Exactly what a Trail Cam should be.
I recommend this camera and it would work well for anyone looking for a trail camera. With the included solar charger and SD card this is a great value. Do no hesitate.I wanted to set up a camera in the backyard to point at the bird feeder, pond and anything else. The SolarEye Trail Camera is a sharp looking device that seems to be well constructed. It also came well packaged and is doing itâs job superbly.Overall this camera was easy to set up. Itâs nice that there is a quick start guide and also a small booklet that tells you everything you need to know about the camera. The settings are easy enough where someone could dive right in but I like having an idea what I am getting into. I perused through the booklet and then started looking at setting and features directly on the camera interface. I canât see that there are any setting missing. A few options are the ability to view/playback what is recorded, set recording length, video and/or photo capture, time laps, time between detection events and many more. After setting what I wanted I downloaded the app and all of the setting were available there and are also easily adjustable in the software. The camera takes clear photos and videos and detection had no issues. For live feed, copying recording, or changing settings I am able to connect to the camera from the back door, probably 20 or 25 feet away. Yes I can visually see the area the camera is focused on but it will be nice to have pictures and recordings. Here are some other features that I liked:- 2â Screen is very sharp.- Ability to view live video, captured photos and recorded video using the phone app. (As SolarEye points out this is not a WiFi camera the phone must be within bluebottle range to temporarily connect.)- Included Solar Charger.- Include SD Card.- Included mounting hardware and swivel, for the camera, with the option of using a strap.- Included mounting hardware and swivel for the solar panel.- AA battery backup (Note however that I have not use this feature yet.)- Software seems to be well developed and does not seem shady. Here are things I thought could be improved:- An adapter and strap for the solar panel so that it can also be mounted using a strap.

Great camera-Customer Service even better
I ordered the SolarEye Trail Camera with the confidence that it will work just as well as theSolarEye 4G LTE Cellular Solar Security Cameras that I purchased two months ago. The Camera did not disappoint! From the time I opened the box, the contents were packaged very well, everything was there, and the quality seemed very good. The camera battery was even charged so I was able to begin familiarizing myself with it immediately. The operating manual was very clear on instructions and set-up as was the ease of finding and downloading the âTrailCam Goâ app. While reading the manual and interacting with the app, set-up of preferences for the camera, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi were surprisingly quick and easy. I found it best to work the features of the camera operations and app, getting familiar with them first before mounting it (sensitivity settings, record times, etc.). Being able to change many of the settings and preferences on the camera through the app is a great convenience; no need to get (up) to the camera where it is mounted, open it and adjust it through the buttons.Using the camera first in the house both in light and dark conditions resulted in great quality photos and videos. The motion sensor activated as it should from different distances and the recordings lasted as long as I set them for. The ease of viewing and transferring to your phone through the app is a nice feature and easy to do. Although, the included SD card can always be removed, and pics/video can be put onto a computer. After mounting the camera, the solar panel kept the battery charged without any worry, or failure. It wasnât even necessary to keep it in direct sunlight as the daylight sunshine was enough to keep it charged without running out. There were some cloudy days which did not affect the battery charge. I did not use 4 AA batteries as the optional backup as I wanted to see if the solar charger would keep the battery charged, and it did. Both the camera and solar charging panel were easy to mount with the included options hardware. So far this camera and all of the features have worked and performed as described and it is very user friendly. I would recommend this camera based on my research and use so far. As I get outdoor video/pictures of wildlife and other unexpected appearances, I will update this review with them.I will also say, another reason I ordered this camera and will likely purchase additional SolarEye products was because of the customer service. When I had trouble with my SolarEye 4G LTE Cellular Solar Security Cameras (user error/issues of course, LOL) they DID answer their phones during business hours. If they were closed, you can leave a message or send an email, and THEY WILL call you back or write back. I had to do that a few times with my other cameras. Now they have been up and running (3 hours away from my house) for two months 24/7 with NO ISSUES. I love them and friends of mine have even bought the same ones after seeing my videos and live footage.

Solid trail camera comparable to top brands
This is my first trail camera, however it’s got all the right features and quality on point with the brands I’ve seen in stores. Here are the highlights:+good image quality in day and night modes, still and video+multiple sensors and IR lights and easy to adjust settings to delay image capture although it took some trial and error to get the timing dialed in to my liking+3 power sources, built in rechargeable lithium, external solar, and optional AA+sturdy build quality, good gaskets for waterproof durability+have had it outside in 15*F / -10*C with no loss of function+includes 32gb SD card, and hardware for permanent mount or strap to a treeOverall happy with the product, haven’t noticed any drawbacks worth mentioning.

Easy to use, great quality and low price!I have used this Solareye Trail/Hunting camera for a while now, as well as a similar model. It is a great security/trail camera. It comes with everything you need to get it going right away. There are multiple mounting options, 32gb memory card and a USB-C for charging (Cable included).Powered by a built-in 5000mAh lithium battery with a large separate solar panel, USB C charging and room for 4 AA batteries for backup power in low light conditions. The motion sensor had an accuracy of 0.2 sec. 120 Degree viewing range. The IP66 waterproof case is light but very sturdy. Easy to mount both the Solar Panel and the camera in many different places. The camera many options, but is simple to set up. The included instructions are easy to read. The pics/vid look great, with 48MP pictures and 2.7K recording available. Use the app to view live video, viewed stored picture and video and maintain the SD Card (Included).I recommend this camera. Also, customer support staff are amazing!

The camera is well built, rugged in construction and a nice colour, it includes all you need to to start recording your garden visitors it has the option to strap it to a tree or to fit a multi directional stand a similar stand is included for the solar panel. The camera is extremely easy to set up and connect to the TrailCam Go App it comes with the memory card installed and although it advises you to charge the camera batteries before use mine was at 80% when it arrived so was ready to go if you canât wait to set it up. The menu interface gives you numerous different modes and settings to choose from, these can be accessed both from the camera or the App. The videos and pictures are very clear, and the night vision is also very good too and they can can easily be viewed via the app when within the decent range that the unit affords in my case from the comfort of my kitchen. Even with the winter sun the solar panel keeps the battery at sufficient level to keep on recording. If you are interested in recording your garden wild life and why wouldnât you then this is the camera you should consider, I would definitely recommend it.

Must have beautiful wildlife piece of equipment, can’t go wrong with this camera, the price, the build quality, set up is a breeze.solar panel battery backed up, picture quality is great. Haven’t had the chance to check battery quality because I set it up from my porch because outside is a bit on the cold side. But when I get a more pleasant day I’ll hook it up to my cherry tree. And update my review.

The Solareye trail camera came with loads of features and add on accessories. The set up is easy with the supplied sd card and various harness kit. The solar panel helps keep the battery topped up perenniallyso no need to take the camera off for charging manually. Night vision is brilliant. The settings can be customised across photo and video quality, motion sensitivity, timers etc.Overall, the best value for the money.
