Great Everyday Carry Camera
I bought this nice little camera for everyday carry. I have high end DSLR and mirrorless cameras along with pro lenses from Nikon and Olympus, so I’m not expecting this little guy to beat those other cameras out in image quality. This is a small, rugged, and waterproof camera that can be put in a pocket and exposed to harsh environments. It takes pretty good pictures and video. I partially LOVE the macro modes. I bought the guide light and silicone jacket accessories for it. With focus stacking and the guide light this little guy is very fun to explore the smaller things all around us. Put it in one of the scene modes or leave it in full auto to take photos of events, landscapes, people, etc.Again, it won’t beat out its big brothers, but is excellent for everyday carry. As the old saying goes: the best camera is the one you have with you. Some would argue that a cellphone fits this space better. I disagree. This thing is cheaper than the high end cellphones, is more durable (both shock and waterproof), it has advanced computational photography features, and it has a whole ecosystem of accessories. I like the GPS features to include compass, altitude, and temperature. You can geo tag your photos and videos. You can also shoot in RAW format and import your pictures to your favorite photo editor. The free OM Workspace works just fine. Finally, the camera connects easily to the free OI.Share app on your phone so you can send your photos there to share with others.I love this little camera.

They finally got it right…
The OM SYSTEM Tough TG-7 Black has finally got it right. I’ve owned all previous models of the Olympus TG 1-6 Tough cameras and this version finally fix my main concern. Previous models always had a clicking sound when filming n video and muffled out when zooming. The TG7 does not do that and has made me extremely satisfied. Overall this is a great all around camera, as it’s tough as the name says. Granted i’ve never dropped a previous versions nor do I plan on dropping this one but it’s made tough. Easy to use and functionality is super simple. Always better to carry a universal camera and not always drain your phone battery. You can charge additional batteries and have expandable memory. It’s waterproof and takes great micro-photos… the microscope mode is what I enjoy best about this camera. Great product and great price… best medium range compact camera. 5 Stars from Us…

Significant Improvements vs. the TG-3
I had used a TG-3 for almost 10 years in all kinds of harsh industrial environments and can attest that it was indeed “tough”, but it did not survive a fall from a 10 ft. ladder onto concrete. The TG-7 seems like a very significant improvement and all the TG-3 accessories (flash diffuser, ring light, lenses) still work with the TG-7. The new camera feels a little heavier but much more solid, has better grips, and a better zoom level. The camera “modes” are a little different but I have yet to check them all out. Having two “custom” modes is a nice touch. The improvements in the photo viewer are many and much appreciated. The calendar view is awesome!I am not a water sports guy so I never had my TG-3 under water, and doubt that I’ll ever have the TG-7 under water either — it’s just too nice a camera to take a chance with, at least for me.I can’t speak to the photo quality yet, but for my use in an industrial setting, functionality is a lot more important than having the absolute best quality photos.I will update this review as I learn more about the new camera. But for now I can 100% recommend this camera if you need rock solid performance and durability.

Awesome Dive Camera
The OM SYSTEM Tough TG-7 is a fantastic rugged camera that delivers impressive performance for outdoor enthusiasts and adventurers. Itâs packed with features that make it a reliable companion in extreme conditions.Durability is its standout feature. The TG-7 is waterproof, shockproof, dustproof, and freeze-proof, making it perfect for diving, hiking, skiing, or any outdoor activity. Iâve taken it snorkeling and on mountain treks, and it handled both environments like a pro.The image quality is solid for a compact camera in this class. The photos are sharp with vibrant colors, and the cameraâs performance in underwater photography is especially commendable. The inclusion of RAW shooting is a big plus for those who like to edit their photos later.I appreciate the versatility of the built-in modes for different activities, like underwater HDR and macro modes. The ability to capture extreme close-ups with the microscope mode is an added bonus thatâs genuinely fun to use. However, I deducted one star because the low-light performance could be better. In darker conditions, noise becomes more noticeable, and the small sensor struggles a bit. Also, while the camera is rugged, it feels a bit bulky compared to other compact cameras, which could be a drawback for some users.Overall, the OM SYSTEM Tough TG-7 is an excellent choice for adventurers who need a tough, reliable camera. Despite a couple of minor drawbacks, it delivers where it counts and is a worthy investment for capturing moments in challenging environments.

Fantastic camera especially for scuba diving
I love this camera. Itâs fabulous for macro photography. I use might specifically for scuba diving. The built in flash is nice to have as I want this to be nice and compact. The Wi-Fi download is nice and pretty fast. Itâs very easy to use and self explanatory set up.

Purchased for a summer trip to Norway and Iceland and was wanting something with good picture quality, easy to use and durable. I was able to use menus easily and loved that it was waterproof for taking photos at the hot springs and up close and under waterfalls.
