Works Well
Five minutes to assemble. Everything fits together correctly. No missing parts. Seems durable and carefully thought out. I’m matching it up with an interfit 150ws studio strobe for portraits and office lighting. I like the internal baffle and the soft light of this softbox as compared to shooting through an umbrella. This is my forth Neewer softbox and like the other three (different sizes/shapes), I believe Neewer softboxes are economy priced and not cheaply made. I don’t break them down and build them up for every use because they fit in the car when assembled–and this saves me set-up time when I go to a job/event. I would recommend this to my friends without hesitation.

Perfect for on the go
Donât pay attention to the negative reviews. There isnât anything that wasnât stitched, they just donât get it. One pocket for the pole is open Velcro and is meant to be for adjustment. Take your time, try it out a time or two before needing to use it. I left mine set up for a few days to get it to stretch a little first. Do it once and youâre good after that. Very stable, thick, quality material perfect for portability. Internal and external diffuser to adjust your brightness within. Great product.

Great budget option, easy to travel with and great size.
The NEEWER 24″x35″ Softbox is a very good option for anyone looking for a budget option that is relatively easy to setup and travel with.It collapses to a small size which makes it easy to travel with. The fact that it only has 4 rods makes it easier to setup than a softbox with 8 rods. The size is a very decent size soft source relative to the size that it collapses to.It is very light and therefore, your light stands don’t have to handle so much weight, which again adds to the travel friendliness of your whole lighting package. One thing to note is that the Silk covering the softbox goes OVER the softbox. Similar to a lid over a container. Normally the silk on softboxes go INSIDE the softbox. There is a benefit and a drawback to having the Silk go OVER. The benefit is that the area that outputs light is the largest it can be because the silk area is as large as the softbox. When the silks are INSIDE, the area becomes about 1″ smaller all around. This take away 2″ in all directions. So a 24″x35″ soft box becomes 22″x33″ instead of a true 24″x35″. This makes a difference in the softness of the light. The drawback is that because the Silk goes all the way to the edge of the softbox, there is no way to attach a eggcrate modifier to the softbox. So controlling the light becomes difficult.I don’t mind it on something I’m traveling with and I like that the source is larger and softer. But certainly something to think about.I highly recommend it. It takes a little longer to set up that my other softboxes, but those I cannot travel with. I will buy a 2nd one to go with my two Colbor CL60R units.

Pretty descent materials, it’s the small things that let it down.
Like most Neewer products the quality is descent for the price. The material is thick, the stitching seems adequate and the mounting ring is metal with a lockable rotation ring which is nice. The one area that gave me some trouble was inserting the fiberglass rods that give the box it’s structure. The first issue is the loops that you have to feed the rod through are incredibly tiny which makes that process difficult. The pockets where the rods insert are made of heavy nylon webbing which seems durable, but is very stiff which again makes the process harder than it needs to be. And lastly the rods them selves are good enough, they’re fiberglass with crimped on metal ends for durability and presumably also to keep the fiberglass from fraying over time with use but two of my ends fell off, they weren’t crimped on very well. But again for the price the unit as a whole is pretty descent, I can reattach the metal tips I’m sure with some silicone adhesive. If I had one suggestion for Neewer it would be to take a note from the tenting world and fix those loops that the rods feed through, make them longer with a larger opening and it would make assembly a whole lot easier.

No quality control
Piece of garbage. They don’t quality check so you get this. And right before a job.

It works great
I was a little confused mounting it, a little afraid of breaking it but everything worked out and it is a great product!

Get a Godox
For a budget softbox, this is under the threshold of the quality you can get for your money nowadays. The assembly is a pain. It feels like it will fall apart at any time. The carrier bag is just garbage. I got a couple of Godox in the same price range and they are fantastic, easy to set up, and a serious quality bag to carry around. Just get a Godox.

Don’t forget to order the sewing kit and super glue
I haven’t actually put any light through this yet, but, I did assemble it a couple of times to get the hang of it before I need it. One of the pockets that holds the ribs ripped immediately and I needed to sew that back together. Two of the end-caps on the ribs came off and I super glued that back together. On the other hand, it didn’t cost much, so, the time sewing and the cost of superglue was still a lot less than a “pro” item. Hopefully, I won’t need to dis- and re-assemble once I have it up on site. It seems sturdy enough once assembled.

El producto es bueno, la unica queja es que es un poco complicado de armar puesro que no viene con un instructivo, de ahi en fuera todo bien
Solid power bank. Works amazing! –
Awesome… Love it… Just a bit tedious to set up. But great softbox

Apart from the soft box struggle to set up ( they are all alike in this respect ) the unit is well put together, light is clean with a good spread and nice soft fall off, & the centre is not too hot.
