Works great and easy to set up
Very happy with this purchase. My wife and I own a 43-acre hunting property in Northern AZ, and since we don’t get out very often, we usually have a ton of pics to go through from our traditional game cameras. Unfortunately, most of these are of tree branches moving in the wind, with interspersed game pics. Of course, we are often months behind the most recent pics, so tracking game patterns has been tricky. Additionally, we’ve had relatively lower-quality no-name brand cameras that work, but often seem to have weird glitches with time/date stamps which only further confounds the tracking data.Enter this Moultrie… VERY happy with the product, as it is a very high quality build, materials are sound and just “feel good” in your hand. Controls are app-based primarily, but the set up is very simple and intuitive. Since our property is remote, we opted to use the solar panel, and it also very well built, which gave us some peace of mind as our weather can be tough out there. At our property, we only have a few cell networks that get any signal, so I was very happy with the connectivity of the camera; it found a mid-range signal very quickly and has been sending pics and video without issue. Picture quality is great so far, with typical nighttime blurring if animals are moving or running by (see pics). The On-Demand picture feature is hard to resist, as I often like peeking in on the property, and it works well, taking less than 45seconds to get an image (likely would be faster with a stronger cell signal). Battery life seems great so far, and the solar panel certainly helps with that.In terms of value, yes, this camera set up was by far our most expensive, but the quality is evident and makes the purchase well worth it. We’re planning on slowly replacing our other primary cameras with other Moultries so we can have a wider on-demand view. Great product!

Great Camera
These cameras are by far the easiest to set up and take the best pictures for the money Iâve ever used. I deploy 18 cameras on the ranch and have used Spy-point, Moultrie, Code Black and Covert over the years. These Moultrie cameras have been the best. Some I have are going on 4 years of use. This review is for the latest model and the feature I like is the aiming feature to make sure you get the camera angles you want without having to wait for a picture to upload. Great value purchase!

A great camera!
Works great; even better with the battery mag. Iâm using it as a security camera. I love that itâs cellular, and I donât need to worry about a memory card. The app is on your phone and you can see live photos as they happen. You can also run video. Highly recommended!

Solid build, easy cell connection, bluetooth app w/aim function is clunky
This feels well made and also seems very tight from a weather perspective. Iâve paired this with the Moultrie 10w Gen 2 solar panel. This is our first trail cam and weâve only had it about a month so I expect thereâs a bit of a learning curve.Connecting to cellular was really easy, the unit took maybe 2 or 3 minutes to connect.Because it doesnât have a built in screen it has an âAimâ function where you can pair it to your phone via bluetooth during initial set up on location. I thought it would be great, instead it was balky and slow. It was slow to connect and then it either cut off or timed out rather quicklyâ¦this was really annoying though a great idea in theory. It has only triggered by me in front of the cam when it was being set upâ¦otherwise crickets. It looks across a small irrigation pond where I hear coyotes almost every night. Iâve set it to send me an image every 24 hours so I know itâs operational. With the solar panel (in mostly shade) the unit stays pretty steadily charged at 97 – 100%.Image quality during the day is really good. At night it is pretty grainy. You would probably know whatâs up close say 10 – 20ft. but no distance. Additionally, it is important to trim away any brush that may be in front of this camera because at night the reflection of the IR light off nearby tree trunks or brush is blinding.

Great Cell Camera
Outstanding cell camera. I already had a couple of the Edge series cameras and they have worked well for me but when I decided to purchase another camera I decided to give the Edge 2 Pro a try. I was especially interested in the “Live aim” feature that assists you in placing the camera to get the perfect angle and monitoring view. Well, that feature alone made me love the camera…. I strapped the camera to the tree, synced it with my cell phone and the camera instantly sent a live action picture of what the camera was seeing and aimed at. I just watched my cell phone until the picture was perfectly covering the area I wanted to monitor. It was great. The other features that make this camera great are the extremely fast shutter speed, the clarity of the photos and video and the AI smart filters that are built in. I ran this camera from October 1st until until the end of February, in heavy rain, extreme cold and even some really warm days and the camera functioned perfectly the entire time giving me fantastic pictures and video helping me to harvest two really nice deer this season. The “On Demand” photo feature was another feature that I used quite a bit and worked great. If you’re looking for a cell cam that really works well and has great features look no further than the Egde Pro 2.

Camera doesnât work correctly
This camera doesnât work correctly. It takes pictures of nothing but not of animals or people. It takes 6-10 pictures in a minute of nothing. It took 832 pictures in 2 days of pretty much nothing. I have contacted Moultrie for a few months and was told to do resets, factory reset, put it in a box. I believe there is something wrong with the camera and they will not replace it. They do not stand by their product just keep telling me it environmental all they do is give excuses. I know someone who has the same camera and is having the same problems. I am really disappointed in the camera and customer service. They wonât let you talk to a supervisor,I talked with someone who said they would call me back after a few days of monitoring the camera and never called me. I finally received a call from someone after a week to be told itâs just environmental and there was nothing the can do.
