have been using for a few weeks and works
I have them in a wildlife camera set up to fire flashes so they need to be on 24/7, the batteries are at 60% after 20 days. To extend the battery life dummy batteries and 2 D cell batteries can be used.A lot of people use Camtraptions triggers and receivers but they cost a lot more.I tried Neewer a few years ago, had to return them most didn’t even work out of the box, from reviews that was a problem with Neewer.

I’VE USED GODOX FOR YEARS AND LOVE THEIR FLASH LINES OVER THE YEARS
I OWN THE V1 FLASH FOR MY CANON R3 AND LOVE IT.WITH THAT SAID, THIS WORKS IF YOU NEED TO SYNC OR MORE FLASHES, STROPES, OR LIGHTS TOGETHER WORKS GREAT.WITH THE V1, IT’S ALL DIGITAL WITH A TOUCH SCREEN.THINK MORE OLD SCHOOL WITH THIS ONE AND BATTERIES.USBC WOULD HAVE BEEN A NICE TOUCH!ALL IN ALL, I LOVE GODOX AND OWN OVER 20 VARIOUS PRODUCTS.LOVE LOVE THE V1.

They work but the extra umbrella holder is a terrible design
These are inexpensive and seem to work. I really donât like the extra slot for an umbrella. It makes it so they wonât sit flat on a table to stand a flash up. I get it, I normally use a tripod too but sometimes I set the flash on a shelf or level surface and with these you canât do that.

A value way to have a dedicated strobe radio system. Feels very budget oriented.
I recently reviewed the 2rx/1tx version of this system so here is a cut and paste of that review as it’s pretty much the same system but just one more reciever :Oh man this kit brings me back about 15 years in photography tech when alternates to Pocket Wizards were coming out from companies like Yungnuo and so on. The Godox CT-16 on a basic level works. It was able to successfully trigger pretty much any hot shoe flash or studio strobe I connected it to pretty consistently (I tried it on some flashpoints, Buff Einstein, another Godox flash, and even some old Elinchroms). As triggers they worked fine and I only had about 1 or 2 misfire in every 50 pops or so.What I didn’t like about these triggers is the fact the receivers take triple A’s, and when you turn them on there’s absolutely no way to know the unit is turned on or receiving power. It’s annoying that you can’t even use the unit first without supplying your own batteries. The LED that is on the receiver doesn’t flash unless it’s triggered. The transmitter itself doesn’t have a user friendly way to replace the battery, and honest it looks like Godox more designed this to be used a few times and then tossed away. Fortunately it does say that the battery inside the unit is suppose to have over 10,000 pops in the sales pitch, so maybe not having an easily replaceable battery isn’t a problem.A big benefit now of radio systems that you pay a little more now is being able to remotely adjust your power and put things on different channels, sadly this trigger system is straight up binary pop or no pop and don’t do much more than that. If you want to change your settings, you have to walk up to the flash. The built in umbrella holder is actually pretty neat and efficient, but it sadly obstructs and tilts the unit if you plan on using it with flash feet. The bottom hotshoe connecter is all plastic, which is never a good thing. I’ve seen too many of those break on things like Pocket wizards, etc to know these will eventually break also from one bad fall or accident. The kit comes with a lot of spare parts to be able to attach it to a studio strobe if needed. I suggest getting a little case to carry it all. The case in the picture doesn’t come with it, but I have a bunch of those mesh zipper cases just for situations like this and can’t suggest them enough.Overall it works, and it’s not a bad kit. Using AAA’s is annoying, but what’s more annoying is not knowing if the unit is even on without a confirmation light of any type. I’m teaching my daughter off camera flash for her high school journalism class so this is would be great for someone like her or someone starting with studio photographer/off camera flash. It’s a good reasonable price before paying triple digit for more potent TX/RX systems. It’s got a lot of small little fault and quirks, but is probably a good 3.5/5 as a product. The 3 rx version is only about $10 more than the 2rx version so getting a receiver for $10 as a spare or way to control an extra light is nice.
