The Franmara Boomerang two-step waiter’s corkscrew features a patented two-step boot lever and an extendable four-wheel foil cutter, making it easy and quick to open wine bottles. It’s ideal for use in restaurants, wineries, and catering events.
To use it, first extend the foil cutter, place it on the neck of the bottle, and make two full turns to cut the foil. After removing the cutter and the foil, you can proceed to open the bottle. Insert the nickel-plated spiral worm into the cork. This open spiral design has a filet that allows it to penetrate the cork faster than traditional worms. Turn the handle to drive the worm deeper into the cork until approximately half a turn is visible.
Next, place the stainless steel boot lever on the rim of the bottle and gently pull out about 7/8″ of the cork. Pressing the boot lever will engage the second lever to pull the cork out completely. The corkscrew’s unique two-step boot lever system is efficient and effective at extracting corks, aided by a spring-loaded floating axis. A crescent-shaped cutout in the handle helps keep this axis vertical, reducing stress and allowing the boot lever to grip the cork effectively during extraction. This design provides extra leverage for faster and more efficient service.
