Review: One of the best baseball bats you can buy! My 12 yr old son was so excited to get this bat. He saved up his money and was happy to receive it so quickly. It is true to all the HYPE and has amazing pop. It was his first drop 5 bat and he was able use it right away with a short break-in session. He is about 5’3″ and 135 lbs and was able to swing it well, hitting a homerun the first gameday! The other kids all wanted to use it and two ended up buying the same bat afterwards.

Review: My 12 year old loves the bat. I was wondering if the drop 5 would be too heavy but he says it’s perfect to swing. Really likes the larger barrel and hitting zone compared to the cat x he used last year. Has a really nice sound when the ball pops off. From a 12 year old perspective it doesn’t have to be a perfect hit for the ball to go far. I would say he enjoys the hitting experience a bit more with this bat. As a mom the thing I’m concerned about is durability. I’ve been told by coaches the drop 5 bats are having the most issues with cracking. My son uses this as his game bad and uses the cat x as his practice bat now. I hear there is talk of the bat being banned in Little League next year. Not sure if it will be just the drop 5 like USSSA. For now my son is really enjoying the game and is super happy to have the bat. The cost is ridiculous though and at this age I’m not sure how nessasary it is. It’s more of a cool thing and just fun to hit the ball far. It has the wow factor for sure. I think at least 1 kid of every team we have played has this bat.

He was thrilled to get this bat, and after watching him practice with his variety of warm up bats, it was easy to see why. The weight was perfect for the higher pitch speeds. I hope he gets a lot of use out of it!
