Great product!
Chesty is ready to go out of the box. Build quality exceeds expectations. Works great for me (snowsports) but the fit may be tight for those with more than a 42 inch(+/-) chest. Easy to put on and take off… stuffs in a small backpack or large pocket. In use, the chesty holds the camera at the angle set and keeps it there. Product exceeded my expectations and price was very competitive. It’s a winner.

Great product
Cheaper than most but very durable. Easy to install and wear. Mounting was simple. Comfortable and very portable. Used on Alaskan cruise and fit perfectly over a jacket.

Affordable Alternative for Hands-Free Footage
I recently purchased the Amazon Basics Adjustable Chest Mount Harness for my GoPro Hero camera, and I’ve been using it to capture footage during my outdoor adventures. The harness is a cost-effective alternative to the more expensive GoPro branded chest mount, and while the build quality isn’t as good as the original accessory, it still gets the job done. The harness is easy to adjust, and I was able to find a comfortable fit on my chest, which allowed me to capture hands-free footage while skiing, hiking, and even kayaking. The camera stayed secure and steady throughout my activities, and I was able to capture some amazing footage of my adventures. One thing I did notice is that the mount can feel a bit bulky and heavy at times, especially when wearing multiple layers of clothing. However, this is a minor inconvenience considering the affordable price point of the harness.Overall, I’m satisfied with my purchase of the Amazon Basics Adjustable Chest Mount Harness. While it may not have the same level of quality as the GoPro branded chest mount, it is still a reliable and cost-effective alternative for anyone looking to capture steady footage while on the go. I would recommend this harness to anyone looking for an affordable way to capture hands-free footage during outdoor activities.

Well worth it.
In a nutshell, this item worked just fine. Fit was fantastic and the price is well less than half the name-brand.Details:Before purchasing I read the complaints that it was flimsy and breakable. I wear my GoPro hiking, so generally it’s not at a huge risk of being destroyed if a mount breaks. I figured this item was worth trying out. When I unpacked it, it didn’t seem flimsy to me although I admit I didn’t put it through any torture tests.I’ve been using the GoPro magnetic swivel clip, clipped onto my backpack strap up until now. The trouble with that is that it moves around quite a bit, usually changing the angle of the camera to the ground. No matter how often I check and correct it, I get home to find most of my pictures at an angle (not zero) to optimum. I hoped the chest mount would keep the camera level to the ground without so much checking and adjusting. As you might expect, it did wonderfully at that. The size of the harness is barely suitable for me. If I had my druthers, they’d offer an “extra large,” but they don’t. I’m 6’1″ and 235#. I wore it with the harness straps fully extended – the biggest they can be. It was not uncomfortable, but I’m staying away from Christmas cookies for the next 11 months. I wore it under my jacket but over my shirt. I’m pretty sure it would not go outside my jacket. Definitely not comfortably. When wearing it, it again felt sturdy enough. I think I’d use it even skydiving, bungee jumping or motorcycling. Checking camera functions was much easier with the chest mount than the swivel clip. I could easily flip the camera forward and check battery life, etc., then flip it back into place and move on. With the swivel clip, I had to take it off to check camera status, then put it back on and re-orient it.In all, I think this mount is just fine. For less than half the price of the brand-name mount, it’s pretty easy to recommend.

If youâre ready to record your adventure, definitely get it!
This works great when paired up with a GoPro, it can handle the rough ride on a dirt bike, easy to clean and easy to put on.!

The chest strap is great the mount is not.
The chest strap itself works great and is good quality. It easy to get on and very affordable. However the included mount broke after the first use. The set screw stripped out and will not screw tight anymore.

Best Bike or Hiking GoPro Mount
The GoPro Hero 8 video smoothing works well mounted to your chest. The view is pretty good, and the camera can be angled back to see less of your knees and front tire. It’s easy to put on and take off, slipping your arm through one loop, your head through the other, and then bringing the lose clip around and snapping it in place under your other arm. It’s even easier to take off.A couple of cons:* The screen is hidden by the mount, up against your chest, so it’s easy to hit the record button and think it’s recording, when it actually stops. I haven’t had any problem when using the GoPro remote. But it’s an issue when using just the top (red) button on the Hero to start recording – it can beep and then immediately stop recording. Maybe the type of beep/tone sequence indicates this condition? It would be useful to have an opening in the back of the mount so you could pull the mount down and look at the screen to verify it’s really recording.* A slight annoyance is that it needs to be removed before taking off your jacket, if you put it on over it in the morning and then get too warm. The mount is thick plastic and the bands are strong elastic. Plenty tight, and the length is adjustable. The whole thing is pretty light and can be thrown in the backpack and pulled out when you might want to record. There are no loose pieces to get lost. And the quick-release clips are easy to operate (I leave one always attached, and just slip an arm through, as I explained above.A helmet-mounted GoPro might give a clearer view, and allow easier aiming side to side, but mounting it to your chest removes that extra weight from your head and neck. It also looks less conspicuous.

It’s lightweight and simple to assemble. My device is not a GoPro, but an Akaso V50. It fit perfectly, no trouble. The camera can pivot on the hinge where it is affixed to the harness. For people with breasts, the elastic bands might be uncomfortable and visually unappealing. I looked rather strung up with boobs flopping over the band. The elastic bands are adjustable over the shoulders and around the back. I suspect that for a large person, the elastic may be uncomfortable especially after long periods of wear. I have not worn the harness out in the wild yet but it feels sturdy and reliable. The price is good for the product. It functions as was promised. I’ll be interested to see what’s the video perspective from below my chest.
