Fine for some of my powershot series digital zoom lenses
These work fine to adapt a UV/Protector lens to my Canon Powershot SX10 IS and SX40 HS Cameras. You need this if you want to have the protector lens added, if you want to have peace of mind to not damage the built in digital zoom lens on these cameras.Next step is finding the 58MM lens, which there are numerous amounts of listed on Amazon.I started using these adapters with a UV lens after some unfortunate damage to lenses, so it’s definitely worth adding one of these if you’re into on-the-go photography and are constantly moving your gear in and out of travel bags. These are a better brand, too, with sturdier material. I had tried a plastic brand of these before which was clunky and adapted to a 67MM lens rather than 58MM. I recommend this brand so much more than the bulky plastic ones

I used this for 2 years
I loved this for lens hoods and filters, it worked fantastic, it was hard to get the filters off sometimes but on my Sx530hs it was awesome

Works great!
At first look it seems a bit “flimsy” but once it’s in place, it’s plenty strong.Nice to be able to use standard filters.

Low profile and fit snugly.
This adapter is metal so it is very stable. It is very low profile so it looks like it is part of the camera. It fit a 58mm filter perfectly.

Works like it’s supposed to.
I put this on my Canon camera. Was able to fit this product with a 2.2x zoom lens. Works just like it should.

Nice thin sturdy adapter
Nice metal adapter, locks in place firmly. Good price point. Not much else to say about this little gizmo, but Amazon has asked me to mention âwarmthâ and âsheernessâ of this item. Both characteristics have no applicability whatsoever here. Sheer nonsense.

Adds flexibility to a point and shoot camera.
I have the Canon SX30 IS as a camera that I toss in the back of my car so I always have a camera with me. This is metal so it is durable and that’s one less thing to worry about. It fit perfectly on my camera so I was able to put an UV filter on my camera. Luckily I already had a spare 58mm lens cap because the one that’s on the camera is approx a 55mm or maybe a 56mm. Not only does it make it so I can use the UV filter to protect the lens but now I my camera has more versatility. I can use a polarizing filter or a neutral density filter. It is a great product that I would recommend to a friend.

Very happy with this product. Fits nicely and looks part of the camera.
Sam Simpson –
I installed it on my Canon and then I screwed in the UV Filter. It looks like it is part of the camera.

Like some others have discovered, this does not fit my Canon SX70. It is easy enough to line up, but it will not turn to engage on the lens. Maybe it’s a defect on my adapter, but there is clearly a problem that makes it unusable.
