Brilliant device for operating the Canon R5C in Video Mode!
Wow, this Pixel Oppilas Wireless Shutter Remote Control RW-N3 model is a Godsend for operating the Canon R5C cinema camera in video mode! And there is no other option to operate this particular Canon camera in video mode, remotely! It’s an amazing product and critical for YouTubers filming themselves with the Canon R5C!

Super convenient and worked great for my needs!
I got this because my other shutter was just not cooperating with my camera and I lacked the patience to mess with it. This however is super easy. The instructions were very to the point. Basically just plug the receiver into you camera, turn on your camera, then press & hold the power button on the receiver for a couple seconds, then you’re good to go. The receiver slips on top of your camera in the little hotfoot thing (I forgot the name).Just a heads up: It doesn’t come with batteries and the connector for the receiver is micro USB, not USB-C. Perfect for my camera though! (Sony a6400). It uses 4 AAA batteries: 2 for the receiver and 2 for the remote. There are 4 tiny white switches in the battery compartment for both the receiver and remote. Make sure those are set exactly the same. Mine are all down and it works fine.I just pulled it out for the first time today for team pictures and it was perfect! It worked with the autofocus the same way my camera does. I haven’t tried the other 2 settings so I can’t speak to those, but for my purposes, it worked perfectly!

A must have for a DSLR…
I use this remote shutter with my Sony a68 and it works great. I use it to take pictures of small items and convert them to icons so I put the camera on a mount and after I have the shot that I want showing on the camera screen, I do not want to put my hand on the camera to press the shutter button because this will slightly move the camera. This remote is perfect for my needs because I can activate the shutter without touching the camera. Some things you may want to know:- The shutter button is a 2 stage button just like the one on the camera so if you depress it lightly, the camera will activate the auto-focus function same as when you depress the actual camera shutter button half way.- It offers single shot, continuous shot, BULB and a 4 second delay mode. I do not see the reason for the 4 second delay since this is a remote shutter but it is there if you have a use for it.- The sliding selector is of poor quality and it is hard to slide it with accuracy. It also has a small travel length which makes it hard to make sure you are in the mode you want to be.- The receiver is a bit bulky for what it is but it has a shoe mount and you can mount it on the camera while the wire is not too short to mount it near by on the tripod.- I did not test the range extensively but it did work from a distance of about 30 feet when I needed it to. However, being a 2.4GHz radio, I expect that it will work at greater distance without a problem. The only thing that disappointed me is that it will not work in movie mode but I don’t think I can blame the remote for that since the a68 camera has a separate button for recording and that means this remote “presses” the wrong button when the camera is set to movie mode.If you are planning to use this to take landscape pictures or any other picture that needs the camera to really stand still, this is a great option and at a great price.

Nice Little RC for Pentax Cameras (Other brands as well)
This is a handy small profile remote control for electronic cameras. In my case, I chose the Pentax interface which amounts to a connector designed to fit the RC port Pentax uses. The system consists of two modules. The first is the transmitter which has a single button and a slide switch. The button is a two step button, just like a camera shutter release, whereas the first step is focus and the second is shutter. The slide switch selects “modes” which I will explain shortly. The receiver module has two buttons; an ON/OFF button (extended press activated so a casual bump will not activate nor deactivate the receiver), and a second button which serves as a manual shutter release. This module has a flash mount on its back side so it can be attached to most cameras with a flash mount to keep it from flailing around. It also has a tripod thread. The instructions are pretty useless (why I gave a one star ding) but not too much in the way of instructions are needed. Both units take 2 AAA batteries and have a channel assignment DIP switch which can be used to channelize multiple devices if desired. The modes are the following:SINGLE: A press will focus and trip the shutter once. Continued pressing will do nothing.MULTI-SHOT: Continued pressing will fire the shutter for as long as the button is held at about 2 second intervals (nothing to do with your camera’s continuous shooting mode). Focusing occurs at each for a brief interval.BULB: A single press will activate the shutter release and keep it active until the button is pressed again. Your camera needs to be in the correct “bulb” mode (shutter open while shutter release is held) for this to work.TIMER: This is a single shot option with about a 5 second delay. You can use it for selfies as it gives you time to take a pose after pressing the button. The low cost of this RC makes it a good choice for having in your gadget bag and it works pretty well up to long distances (100m straight line of sight). It’s not all that rugged (plastic construction) and not waterproof or resistant but has good ergonomics in small packages, and works well for its intended purpose.

My camera body was listed as compatible but it wasn’t
Returned because it was not compatible with my camera body even though it was listed in the description.
