these headsets no longer work — OS was retired
No longer supported. The operating system “Google Daydream” discontinued support a couple of years ago so now these headsets essentially don’t function. The reviews about being stuck in loading screens are because the OS is trying to contact the Google Play Store, which doesn’t work. There are rumors that you can sideload stuff onto the headset but unless you are a computer whiz/hacker with a lot of time on your hands, this isn’t an option.I’m going to give mine away to the highest bidder on eBay because these are non-functional. These really shouldn’t be sold on Amazon because they are non-functional units and the seller should know this.

does not work, stuck on loading screen with no way to bypass
this will not work. charge, turn on, connect to wifi, freeze. restart, restart, factory reset, restart. just says checking info with no way to bypass. no help online. waste of money. Avoid this. Tried leaving it to load for days, no use. All on initial startup. please don’t waste your hard earned money

Highly recommended!
I’ve had my Mirage Solo for a couple of weeks now and overall I’m very satisfied with it and recommend it. I will focus on the device itself rather than specific apps since these are more subjective and vary in quality, though I will say that there are many good choices available. This is my second VR headset, I also have the Samsung Gear VR, so it is my baseline/comparison point. The packaging of the Mirage Solo is very good, as you would expect for high end electronics, and can be reused to store your headset when it not in use.Compared to the Gear VR, the Lenovo has many advantages.Comfort of the unit is good and the built in dial to adjust the fit is well made and easy to use. This is a big step up compared to basic Velcro straps on the Gear VR. The unit is front heavy but I never felt a need to stop the fun due to discomfort. Also, it is a fairly bulky device so it’s more for home use than for portable entertainment, though I wouldn’t feel safe being fully immersed in VR in public anyway.6 degrees of freedom is a game changer and makes the Mirage so much more realistic than my old 4 dof Gear VR. Movements are much more natural and help you really get lost in the virtual world, which is the whole point, right?Being a standalone unit is also a huge plus compared to mobile phone powered headsets. Simply put it on and start playing versus multiple steps needed to hook up your phone. My old Gear VR would drain my phone’s battery quickly and shut itself down at times because the phone got too hot and I would worry about damaging it. The Mirage Solo’s battery life is very good, at around 3 hours you won’t need to cut your session short. The handheld controller is well designed and intuitive to use. I like that you can swipe in addition to point and clicking. My old Gear VR only had buttons on the headset itself, no separate controller, so this is another huge improvement for me. One minor criticism is that the controller feels sort of cheap because it is very lightweight and basic plastic. Higher quality materials and some heft would help give it a higher end feel. The interface and menu system are well thought out and easy to navigate. If you can navigate a mobile phone then this will be a breeze. The built in Google Play store has many titles to select from and I like that the 6 dof worldsense enabled titles have thier own section instead of being mixed in with all others. The price is a little steep but the ease of use and quality of the product and overall experience means I will likely continue to use it regularly, so I feel like the cost per time being entertained is well worth it.

Not ready to be sold-should not have been released like this
This headset is a fraud, they lie about everything it does and needs.Nobody warns you about there being no truly workable apps but a handful as the 350 apps is a lie. There’s no photo app but google’s intrusive online storage one requiring wifi, (most things including initial entering the headset requires wifi, no app works to tether your phone data if your phone provider restricts tethering, only the 2d photo app works from your folders/storage.There is no full screen photo 3d or toggle on switch to use poorly layed out third party photo apps or any claimed vr 3d app that is 2d on this headset. Support info stinks, the whole idea of releasing this before compatible useable video and photo apps is absurd, this was not ready for market. The only use is for 180 and 360 VR vids. Most regular 3d vids play better on 3d tvs as do photos. Not many apps that do work are completely usable as you’d want or need.Update: Google pretty much stoped updating VR apps, and I can’t upload a 6DOF Daydream VR App for review, so maybe others have the same issue thus halting the new apps from appearing.

It may be discontinued but when discounted sufficiently , maybe worth it. Very limited apps and games but typical of Google to abandon a product after only three years. Why render popular games no longer available on Play Store ? Surely paid for apps still make money for them !
