Not what I expected for the price or from GVM
This is a really awesome light, but for the price I expected a lot more from GVM. The lantern is not very good, it will not last long and is a pain to put together. I recommend buying the honeycomb soft box for this light, which I did, and was also very agonizing to put together. I don’t appreciate the lock and release mechanism on this light, you can very easily drop the lantern taking it off, it seems like it requires 3 hands to dissemble this because you have to rotate the lantern and hold down the switch at the same time, and the lantern is too big to rotate it with one hand. The app works decently, but disconnected randomly here and there when I locked my phone, which I hated. I’m giving this 3 stars instead of two because the light itself gives good light quality for the price, but everything else was really disappointing.

I usually don’t write reviews for products, but I bought this light back in January and been loving it, I use it for webcam light, photoshoots, etc. and controlling it with the app is incredible.I recently had an issue with one of the parts and wrote email to the the customer support team, the response time was incredibly short (less than a day) and they immediately helped me with dispatching the replacement parts in two days to avoid delays in my project. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a good, affordable light.

Very short life and bad warranty
I bought this in June (about five months ago) and used it for a total of 30 hours max. The light is very dim now and the knobs don’t do anything to the light brightness or color. The only things the knobs do now is change the channel but not the brightness or color. Terrible quality and bad customer service

Great quality product
I dont think they advertised it well, but i do like what i got. First it really does seem to be made of good quality. It was quite heavy to hold it up. Im sure this will last a long time. The light does have function to change colors and dimmable. The lighting was evenly disbursed with no uneven spots. I really found great use for it for my projects so far. Exactly what i needed. Only downfall would be the app functions can be more intuitive

After purchasing a 3 pack of GVM 800D-RGB lights two years ago it was an obvious choice to stay with GVM products⦠I was accidentally VERY rough on the lights. I am still using all 3 800D lights two years later, during one of my shoots with the 800D I had the light set up on a countertop with the first two stand extensions all the way up⦠I knocked the light over, when it fell it hit the edge of the opposite counter extremely hard then the floorâ¦. Much to my surprise the light still worked after, and I am still using all 3 800Dâs minimum 3x a week over a year after the incident. I recently purchased a 13â wide greenscreen and needed more lights and light power to properly light my subject and the screen so I purchased two GVM 150W RGB Video Light Kit, 2700K~7500K Bi-Color LED Video Lightâs. Everyoneâs reviews say these lights are bright and yes they are, but how bright?? Without the tools to measure one of the 150W lights is substantially brighter than all 3 800Dâs together⦠they are bright. I should add the built-in fan on the 150W lights is very quite, quiet enough I can have both lights on while recording video shot from a professional shotgun mic that is approximately 5-7 feet away from the lights without having the edit audio in post. I can effortlessly light my greenscreen evenly with no hotspots with the two 150w lights. The lights also have very smooth GRB color control + true 2700k-7500k in addition to the 0-100% brightness control. These lights do exactly what you expect them to do. When the 150W lights arrived, one was missing the plastic lens cover, I contacted GVM support saying the lens cover was missing, I received an email back 3 hours after hitting send this is a copy and paste of my conversating with GVM SupportMy Message – Hi I have recently purchased two -GVM 150W RGB Video Light Kit, 2700K~7500K Bi-Color LED Video Light Photography Studio Lighting Kit with Lantern Softbox & Stands from Amazon, one of the lights does not have the “lens cover”. Diese Leuchte ist wirklich ordentlich verarbeitet und macht ein tolles Licht (mit einstellbarer Farbtemperatur). Das mitgelieferte Stativ ist standfest und gut geeignet, ebenso der Lichtschirm, der die Helligkeit gleichmäÃig verteilt. Dank der Bowens-Aufnahme, die ja absoluter Standard in den Studios ist, passen auch alle meine anderen Softboxen und Lichtaufsätze.Ja – der Lüfter ist hörbar, da ich aber mit Richtmikrofonen arbeite oder bei Studioprojekten nachvertone, stört das mich nicht.Diese Lampe eignet sich somit wirklich gut für kleine Video-oder Fotostudios/-produktionen. Gerade YouTuber sollten sie sich einmal näher anschauen.

Had it for a couple of days. So meed time to evaluate the durability.Fast shipping. Received it earlier then projected.Let’s go to the draw back. The fan is kind of noisy when used in a small room (which is my case). We get use to it but if your recording (depends on the software) your mic might capture the noise. However, the fan noise is not a game changer (on the down side).As for the light it self, I can’t complain. Very bright at low % and I was expecting the “lantern” to be bigger (current size is good).If your planning to installing the light between a desk and a wall, make sure you can move your desk because it will need some space.I’ll update my evaluation if needed after further usage. But happy with my purchase.ð

Habe mir zwei der Lampen gekauft und bereits im Einsatz gehabt.Pro- Gut hell, Farben sind gut (nicht sehr gut)- Funktioniert soweit zuverlässig- Per App steuerbar (nicht die beste App, aber tut was sie soll)- FlickerfreiCon- Deutliche Farbsäume an den Rändern sichtbarNeutral- Kunststoffgehäuse- hörbarer Lüfter- Umständliche Kontrolle direkt an der Lampe (besser per App)Für den Preis aktuell unschlagbar, höherwertig bedeutet auch deutlich teurer. Wer 100% akkurate Farben benötigt und die Lampe jeden Tag am Set viel bewegt… eher nein. Wer damit ab und an mal Farbakzente setzen möchte und keinen Audio-Raumklang aufzeichnen muss: Best bang for the buck.
