A young boy from Nova Scotia, just three years old, tragically lost his life after being hit by a vehicle, and he is being remembered as a child full of “life, curiosity, and love” through an online fundraiser launched for his family.
The GoFundMe page, set up by the boy’s aunt, indicates that he was enjoying a game of soccer with other kids and adults in the yard at the time of the incident last Friday evening.

“This is a situation that no parent can ever be ready for; the entire family is heartbroken,” Felicia Newell expressed on the GoFundMe page.
The Halifax Regional Police reported that they were notified around 7:50 p.m. on Friday regarding the incident that took place on Brownstone Way in Bedford.
According to police, emergency medical personnel transported the child to the hospital, where he unfortunately passed away.
On Monday, authorities confirmed no charges would be filed, nor would any tickets be issued for a summary offence.
“The investigation concluded that neither speed nor alcohol contributed to the accident. This was a heartbreaking incident, and the driver did not commit any criminal act,” stated spokesperson Const. Martin Cromwell.
“The Halifax Regional Police extend their sincere condolences to the boy’s family. Our thoughts are with all those affected by this tragedy.”
