A video shared on social media captures the startling moment when a roof caved in at a construction site in Victoria.
WorkSafeBC has stated that it is looking into the incident, which took place around 3:30 p.m. on April 11 at the site on Herald Street.
The video, uploaded to Instagram by @fullsheets, shows a worker operating equipment on the roof, and just as they step off, the roof collapses.

A worker nearby was seen fleeing from the scene as the roof fell.
“Our investigation aims to determine the cause of the incident and any factors that may have contributed, to help prevent future occurrences,” stated WorkSafeBC.
There are no updates on the worker’s condition.
This incident seems to have occurred at the same site where a worker was severely injured last September. WorkSafeBC has confirmed that it is also investigating that previous incident at this location.
