The President of the United States claims that a deal is “very close” while criticizing the leader of Russia.
Donald Trump vowed to resolve the conflict in Ukraine on his very first day in office.
Following this, his special envoy assured that the situation would be settled within the initial 100 days.
However, with the second self-imposed deadline just around the corner, there seems to be no agreement in sight.
Nonetheless, Trump’s recent in-person meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, following a tense moment in February, appears to have brought Washington and Kyiv somewhat closer.
So, how near are we to achieving peace in Ukraine?
