The Ministry of Law in Singapore and the Ministry of Justice in China have signed a memorandum to allow trainees to attend postgraduate law programs at each other’s law schools.
These trainees will also engage in courses organized by various entities including government agencies, law schools, bar associations, law societies, as well as arbitration and mediation centers.
Additionally, the Intellectual Property Office of Singapore and the China National Intellectual Property Administration have established a data exchange agreement aimed at improving collaboration in intellectual property data sharing between both nations.
On Monday, Mr. Wong was greeted at the Great Hall of the People and attended a banquet organized by Mr. Li. The two had last met in October 2024 during multilateral meetings.
During this visit, Mr. Wong is scheduled to meet with Chinese President Xi Jinping and Zhao Leji, the Chairman of the National People’s Congress.
Following this, he will head to Tianjin for the World Economic Forum’s (WEF) Annual Meeting of the New Champions, commonly known as Summer Davos, where he will participate in a dialogue session with WEF President Borge Brende.
