“Broadway Unplugged: Saskatoon’s New Pedestrian Paradise”

With only two weeks until the Broadway Bridge is set to close, local businesses and organizations on either side of the river are rushing to prepare.

To attract visitors to Broadway during the bridge’s renovation, Strong Towns YXE suggested establishing a pedestrian-only area.

This pedestrian zone would operate throughout July and August, covering two blocks along Broadway, allowing businesses to expand into the street. However, opinions among businesses on Broadway about the proposal are mixed.
