LIV Golf is bringing its global tour to the Southern U.S. this weekend in Dallas, featuring prominent players and team formats. Yet, the event goes beyond just golfing. While stars like Bryson DeChambeau make headlines, the league tells FOX they’re equally dedicated to inclusivity in the sport.

During LIV Golf’s Potential, Unleashed, students throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth area engaged in a day filled with inspiration and fun, thanks to the league’s partnerships with local schools and charities. The initiative aims to enhance educational, employment, and training opportunities for young golfers.

“This initiative allows them to introduce diversity to the game and teach communities that previously lacked access to golf… It’s not just about winning but also about the many life lessons learned through golf,” said Tracey Hardwick, Executive Director of Together We Thrive.

On Wednesday, kids had the chance to learn golf from experienced professionals, paving the way for future tournaments.
“Breaking down barriers to make golf accessible to everyone is essential for both the game’s growth and for this community to have a sport they can enjoy and learn,” commented Cameron Tringale, a LIV Golf player with HyFlyers GC.

As for the tournament atmosphere, LIV Golf’s FOX Sports Broadcaster Jerry Foltz noted it feels distinctively different.
“It’s clear this isn’t your grandfather’s golf tournament… While the level of competition is world-class, the ambiance for fans is relaxed,” Foltz shared.

This unique culture reflects in the merchandise, designed specifically for each tournament venue and emphasizing the team competition aspect.
“It creates a following not just for the teams but also for the players, along with a unique design aspect,” stated LIV Golf’s Senior Retail Operations Manager, Andre Williams.
However, it’s not solely about what fans wear; it’s about the players they support and the experts, like Ben Giunta, who keep their gear in top shape. If anything’s slightly off, Giunta ensures it’s corrected so they can excel in their game.
“Players often come in feeling unsure. They leave with increased confidence in their equipment, ready to perform,” Giunta explained.
