Law enforcement has conducted a search at a residence linked to one of the two remaining fugitives from a New Orleans jail, where he previously posted a video on Instagram claiming he was innocent, according to a source involved in the investigation.
Antoine Massey, aged 33, was not found during the search, as reported by a source to Fox News.
Officials discovered clothing belonging to Massey at the location, as per the Associated Press, citing an anonymous insider. The police were reportedly alerted by Massey’s family members, who recognized the property.
In an Instagram video that has since been deleted, Massey claimed he was not an escapee from jail on May 16, but was rather released.

“They claim that I broke out. That’s not true; I was let out,” he said in the video. “I’m one of those who was let out from Orleans Parish jail where they said I escaped, correct?”
He appealed for assistance from well-known rappers and even former President Donald Trump.
“I’m requesting help from the world,” he said. “From Meek Mill, Lil Wayne, YoungBoy, Donald Trump. I can’t even afford a lawyer to demonstrate my innocence.”
In the video, he also denied ever threatening Sterling Williams, 33, a maintenance worker for the Orleans Parish Sheriff’s Office. Williams was detained for allegedly facilitating the escape of 10 inmates but claimed he was forced to help under threat of violence.
He explained that maintenance workers were only permitted near inmates if they were supervised by a deputy.

Orleans Parish Sheriff Susan Hutson responded to Massey’s video.
“If the person in the video is indeed Antoine Massey, we strongly encourage him to come forward and surrender to the appropriate authorities,” she stated. “Cooperating with law enforcement is in his best interest and may help him avoid further charges. It is crucial for justice to be served correctly and for due process to occur.”
The Louisiana State Police (LSP) chose not to confirm the video’s authenticity, stating that doing so “could impede investigative leads or law enforcement operations.”
The office of Louisiana Attorney General Liz Murrill also opted not to comment.
The FBI did not respond to a request for comments.

SEARCH CONTINUES FOR A FOUR-TIME KILLER AND SERIAL ESCAPEE AFTER NEW ORLEANS JAILBREAK
Over the past two and a half weeks, LSP has been leading the manhunt to locate the escapees, with assistance from local and federal authorities. So far, eight of the escaped men have been recaptured.
Derrick Groves, aged 28, a four-time murderer, is the only other inmate alongside Massey who remains uncaught. He was in custody pending sentencing for a double homicide verdict from October 2024, which occurred during Mardi Gras in 2018. Following his conviction, he pleaded guilty to two counts of manslaughter.
Massey was in jail awaiting trial for charges involving domestic violence with strangulation, vehicle theft, and a parole violation. This marks the fourth instance of Massey escaping police custody.

Massey’s sister, 31-year-old Daishanae Massey, is among 14 individuals arrested for allegedly aiding the escapees either before or following their jailbreak.
Both Groves and Massey have a bounty of $50,000 each on their heads from various agencies involved in the search.
