The comprehensive eufy Clean app provides detailed control over various settings, enabling you to tailor almost every feature of the eufy E20. Check out this video guide to explore the app.
To generate a map, you can choose Fast Mapping, where the robot vacuum navigates through your home using its LIDAR sensor, or Clean + Mapping, which allows it to clean while mapping at the same time. During mapping, you can view the robot vacuum’s path live. After creating a map, you can make another map for a different level of your home and designate no-go zones or virtual barriers. You can also split, merge, hide, or name rooms and specify carpeted areas.
You can program up to 10 cleaning schedules, repeating them on specific days. Each schedule lets you set the suction level and the number of cleaning cycles, as well as choose whether to clean a certain room, area, or your entire house.
The vacuum’s auto-emptying frequency can be adjusted from every 15 to 60 minutes of cleaning. You can also switch the auto-emptying mode between Normal and Deep. Additionally, you can decide if the robot vacuum should empty itself after each use of the handheld vacuum.
The app keeps track of your cleaning history, displaying how many times the robot has run, the total area cleaned, and its overall operating time. You can also view specifics for each cleaning session, including a map of the route taken, area cleaned, duration, timestamp, and the vacuum’s status after each operation. Furthermore, you can monitor the remaining lifespan of replaceable parts.
You can enable or disable the BoostIQ feature, which automatically boosts the suction when the vacuum encounters carpet, although this may shorten battery life. There are manual options for starting cleaning, returning to the dock, and directing the vacuum.
To minimize disruptions, you can set the vacuum to No Resume, meaning it won’t continue cleaning after recharging, or Silent Running, which keeps suction to a minimum for quieter operation. You can also activate the Child Lock to disable the physical buttons on the vacuum. The app allows you to choose the measurement units, and there’s a Find My Robot option in case the vacuum gets lost.
The only feature you cannot modify is the obstacle avoidance setting. Although the robot vacuum does a great job of recognizing and steering clear of obstacles, it does not mark them on the map.
