perfect across the board
ok so I bought this for an S20 Ultra and it doesn’t fit but gave it to a friend and it’s honestly amazing on all fronts. Feels good, Super responsive and worked for just about every game we tried it on.

Totally RAD!!!
I use this android game pad for vintage video game system emuulators on android, and als the xbox app which allows you to connect to your XBOX series X or S which is at home while you are on the go and out on the move. It is great,, i can play xbox everywhere i go without lugging the larger and battery hungry xbox series controller. This kishi i ordered is the xbox specific one so be sure to get the $10 upgrade when ordering if this is important to you. As for the emulators it is totally awesome. you can assign buttons in most emulators so you can setup contol however you would like it is a really cool product and works great with Samsung Note 9 and S22 ultra … i really have no complaints. it has usb-c connector and uses phone battery, has insterts to fight smaller phone and remove them to fit slightly larger phones. it even works on my cheap-o cubot note 20 smartphone. its great. when installed the whole rig is very wide, its misleading in photos, its very very wide. totally awesome grab one!

The one major flaw to pretty much any gamepad/controller for On-the-Go playing…
If your thinking about buying one of these to make your mobile gaming more rewarding there are a few things to consider when it comes to controllers/game pads and android. The concept sounds good, buy the controller, connect it, fire up your favorite game and play – it simply does not work this way. Some games are supported by the Kishi and thus all functions of the controller correspond to a function in the game however most games not supported. Some don’t work at all while others have random or incorrect reactions to gamepad/controller inputs. Some games are made for screen touches and not physical buttons. That’s where the software support issue comes into play. I spent a lot of time trying to figure out how to make this into a viable portable gaming system.First issue is finding software to make your gamepad work with the games you want to play. There are a few options on the market, the most commonly recommended are Mantis Gamepad Pro(10.00 USD), Panda Gamepad Pro, Octopus Pro and Game Controller Touch Pro. I only have experience with Mantis at the moment but from reading each description it seems like Octopus and Panda function the same way. You must use a second phone or PC to “activate” an android debugging feature of the phone to create the overlays onto each game for remapping the controls. Now this is the point where it might break some peoples plans to play this controller system on the go: You need this connection anytime you wish to use the Kishi with an unsupported game. At the very least, for Mantis Gamepad Pro you can use your home Wifi to activate the phones wireless debugging(ONLY android 11+) feature but again, this at the minimum requires access to a secure router. I’ve even tried off my other phones hotspot without any luck.Bottom line – you cannot use gamepad remapping programs without access to a router/UTG connection to an additional android phone/PC connection. There it is, that’s the biggest glaring issue when it comes to using controllers and gamepads like a Kishi with your android phone. Its not plug and play nor is it mobile. The only fix for this is if you are ROOTED and have MAGISK installed. Applications like Mantis Gamepad Pro and Game Controller Touch can use your Superuser permissions(root access) to enter into activation mode and allow you to remap controls. For Mantis the software still requires a general internet connection to verify the license of the app each time you launch a game.My setup is an Essential PH-1, running a custom rom: Lineage OS 19.1(android 12), rooted with Magisk installed. It is not my daily driver so i still have to use a hotspot off my daily driver to launch games in Mantis but it works. It was worth it too IMO. Good chance it wont be worth it for most tho considering the hoops i had to jump though. I would recommend it though IF you have Android 11+ operating system, a constant internet connection and are ROOTED with MAGISK. Otherwise you will have to jump though some hoops to use this thing on the go.Pros:-Solid feeling unit-Tactile buttons that are not overly clicky or loud-Good ergonomics-Responsive in gameCons:-Software/remapping shortcomings listed above*-Drains battery of connected device while Phone is on, even if Kishi is not in use.-Does not pass data. You must disconnect it even to activate debugging mode via cable before playing-Must remove phone from case in most instances to use with KishiLots of people have overcome compatibility with devices by removing or modifying the rubber bumpers where the phones touch the Kishi. There are even printable adapters to fit many different phones and tablets. In hind sight I wish I had known all of the aforementioned things before purchasing this controller or any controller with the intent of playing games on the go. It worked out for me in the end but only after lots of reading and modifying my intended device software but i got what i wanted, however i think it is something most people would wanna know before buying. Good luck!

Perfect for travelling!
At first glance I thought this was over-pricey I didnt know what I was getting and believed it might not even fit my phone. Well once it arrived it over exceeded my expectations. Before I got a pc I used to play many mobile games on my Note 9 and I wanted to use a controller with it. So I bought many controllers just so I can get that same experience as in console. Well once I bought this one it amazed me! It works fluently and honestly couldnt be better.Im surprised how well this works, and how quick it processes things, I highly recommend this. Im currently using my S22 ultra with this and it still fits (i do have to take off the little gums but still works perfect)If you ever plan to go on vacation/travelling and want to game a bit, I highly recommend this. And yes it is compatible with many games such as cod, fortnite, minecraft, roblox and many more.

I really want to like this controller but…
The Kishi seems like it’d be great, and the joysticks and buttons do feel great, but it has a huge flaw. If your phone is too small then it will constantly fall out and it makes this controller unusable. I have a Pixel 3 which is on the smaller side for phones these days, and even when it’s not falling out (which is frequently) the left side which doesn’t have the USB-C connector is constantly wobbling around and it’s unbearable. There are controllers a third of this price that work better with my phone. I tried without a case and also with 3 different sized cases and none of them solved the problem. It was either too small a fit and wobbly, or too big to fit inside the rubber grips that hold the phone.I think the only way to fix it would be to have smaller and tighter rubber grips that fit inside the controller. I’ve searched high and low on the internet and apparently Razer used to offer different sized rubber grips with this controller for exactly this problem (or the reverse problem if your phone was too big), but apparently they no longer offer that option. At the very least, mine only came with the one set grips and after looking everywhere online I can’t find anywhere that sells smaller replacement grips.Anyways, do yourself a huge favor and stay far away from this controller. It’s such a shame that I have to say this because it’s just one issue that should be easy to solve, but it completely ruins the Kishi’s usability. There are controllers for 1/3rd if the Kishi’s price that don’t feel as nice but are at least usable, and there are controller slightly more expensive than the Kishi that don’t have any such issues at all. Unfortunately, I’ll probably have to return my Kishi and get one of those controllers if I can’t find some smaller replacement rubber grips.

Sólo algunas cosas a considerar.1.

Respecto a calidad, zero quejas.

The Kishi is an incredible controller for everything I’ve tried it for. I went in uncertain whether it’d be worth the cost, but it does everything I’d hoped for. Every emulator I’ve tried on Android (over a dozen) worked perfectly with it, most pre-binding the controls so I didn’t have to do anything. Steam Link works well – was able to play games like Nioh 2 and Dark Souls 3 on my phone with no input lag, beyond the slight network delay from my PC. The charging port works, charging my phone much faster than it can deplete, even while playing resource intensive games. My only minor complaints are that my phone (an S9) has a bit of wobble fitting into the left side of the controller, and the ergonomics as a whole could likely be a tad better. It feels fine in my hand, but the whole thing is a bit small, and coupled with the weight of a phone, starts to be mildly straining after a marathon gaming session.Still, the Kishi is far and away the absolute best controller for Android. If your phone fits – look up a list of compatible devices if uncertain – then I can’t recommend it enough.
