The Etekcity 5-in-1 Collapsible Reflector Kit is versatile in the field and in the studio! These reflectors provide shadow-lightening detail by using available or studio lighting. Use the removable, reverse zippered slipcover to reflect light into shadow areas. The cover consists of the following colors: silver, gold, white, and black. This 24in x 24in (60cm x 60cm) reflector is perfect for 3/4 length portraits, headshots, and medium to small still-life setups. It folds down to 1/3 its open size and comes with a carrying case.
Features of each reflector
The silver side is very reflective and brightens both shadows and highlights, but does not change the color of the available light. The gold side works basically the same way, while adding a warmer color to the image.The white side brightens up the shadows to produce a softer light. It is not as bright as the silver side so you can get closer to your subject.The black side just the opposite, and is used to subtract light and create shadows in certain areas. In the middle of the frame is a translucent material which is used as a diffuser. This side is usually held directly above the subject to soften the sun’s natural light. It will always go between the light source and the subject.

Smart buy and nice set – not 5 separate panels.
I just received this so I haven’t tried it in the field yet, but I thought I would quickly write down and expand on the title of the product. It is, indeed, a “5-in1”. Specifically, and unlike the first photo in the product images, it is NOT 5 separate panels. This kit consists of three (3) things: one zippered case, one diffuser panel and one 4-sided zippered cover for that diffuser panel. The 4-sided zippered cover has 4 different “finishes”: black, white, silver and gold. The diffuser panel is the only part with a wire rim for rigidity, and the 4-sided reflector cover must be zipped over the diffuser panel for use as a rigid reflector or shade.This being said- as much as I am slightly disappointed that this was not 5 individual panels, I do appreciate the ingenuity of making this a compact set with a smart storage feature. It is a 24″-diameter panel that folds down into a 9″-diameter zippered case. So far it appears to be of decent quality for the budget price.

I read a lot of the reviews for this product, and I had mixed feelings about buying this. I’m a seller on Ebay and having high quality photos is very important. I wanted a light diffuser that was sturdy, easy to use, and also compact because I live in a tiny apartment. I mainly went with this one because it was one of the best sellers, and it was so versatile.I think this product is great for beginner photographers, and people that aren’t sure how much they’re willing to commit to photography.I can see how easy it is for it to become damaged, to put it away you have to fold it up and manipulate the shape, so over time it will inevitably come apart I think. Also, I read in a lot of the reviews the zipper will cause it to tear, or get stuck on one of the filters.Overall, for the price this is a pretty good buy. I will probably upgrade to a larger light reflector though.This is a good reflector for traveling for sure.

Good reflector for affordable price
Good for the price and I appreciate the size and versatility it offers for mobile shoots. It gets the job done for sure! There are wrinkles but thatâs expected with a four sided reflector. The bag it comes in also is super helpful.

I use these reflectors for flower and macro photography, I already had a 12″ dia set but found them a little small, the 24″ size is perfect, I use for reflecting light or making an impromptu background or blocking strong sunlight.. They fold up easily into a much smaller package than 12″ ones, taking up very little space aprox 6″.If you are entering the close up photography world this should be your first purchase after a macro lens.
