Good cheap tripod
This CAMBOFOTO 74″ tripod is overall good for the price. There isn’t much to say but I’m writing this review to mention a couple of negative aspects for anyone interested.CONS:-It’s very difficult to tilt the head. At first I thought there was another screw I needed to loosen because it wouldn’t move at all. Finally it tilted after using a lot of force. I’m afraid the handle could potentially break off from adjusting the tilt too much. Some lubrication might help.-The shaft that raises the head using the crank handle is very wobbly and practically useless if you want stability. I wouldn’t trust it to hold a heavy full size camera. It’s basically impossible to adjust tilt after the head is cranked up because the shaft is so thin and wobbly and the tilt takes so much force to adjust. I tried once and almost broke the shaft.This can be particularly annoying if you need the extra height because you’ll have to lower the head back down, adjust tilt, hope you got the right angle, then raise it again. Rinse and repeat until the framing is right. It’s perfectly stable without the head cranked up though. I recommend completely ignoring this feature and buying a taller tripod if you need more height than this one can provide with the legs fully extended.If you’re a casual user like me and just need a tripod to use at home, this is a perfectly fine option. If you plan to use it professionally, in rugged environments, or for frequent travel, then I’d recommend you spend more for something nicer.

It’s not terribly heavy, and the build quality seems decent. At full extension, it can get a little wabbly but it can tower over even a 6 ft person. Hanging weight would be recommended if you are using a DSLR at full height.

Great for what it is but keep in mind IT IS NOT A HIGH END TRIPOD
The last time I bought a Tripod was in 1995. It was all metal construction and the handle controlled everything and was extremely fluid and smooth. With no other experience but that to compare it to I was disappointed. There are lots of plastic bits on this and it feels much lighter and not as solid and sturdy. Also the swivel function has its own knob which is barely adequate. I think this company meant well and wanted to build the best tripod they could for the price point. I dont think ur gonna find better unless you want to spend more. My guess is they took a really nice tripod and said how can we make this very similar but at a quarter the price? The answer seems to be they replaced everything but the legs with plastic. Now I’m not knocking this tripod at all for the price, I don’t think you’re going to find much better for what your paying. It really is a good tripod with lots of nice little functions and quirks but personally I wish I would have spent more money and got something more robust and higher end and built to last much longer. This is something I would give my 16 year old that decided on a whim she wanted to try photography. Lots of nice little features and decent quality without breaking the bank.

Am 24.November 2024 habe ich den CAMBOFOTO Videostativ mit 360° Flüssigkopf, 188cm Professionelles Aluminium Schwerlast Filmstativ gekauft.Einzige zu beanstanden war nur das Gewicht und die GroÃe.Trotzdem habe ich diese Tolle Stativ (für meine Zwecke überdimensioniert aber exzellent für Profis), mit 5 Sterne bewertet.Eine etwas kleinere aber auch von CAMBOFOTO müsste hier.Dann, habe mich entschlossen dazu auch der SAB265-B 188 cm zu bestellen.Die Enttäuschung war sofort Groà und mit nicht zu vergleichen mit der GroÃe Bruder.Die 3 Beine lieÃen sich sehr schwer ausfahren, zumindest das erste Mal.Viel bis sehr viel billig harte Plastik, besonders an der Zahnrad-Mittelsäule.Die Kurbelwelle ist eine Zumutung.So billig und so schwergängig das man Angst haben muss es zu benutzen.Positiv=Gewicht-Klein und Handlich.Negativ= Teilweise extrem billig harte Plastick.(Zahnrad-Mittelsäule+Kurbelwelle).Harte Plastik brickt schnellDie Kurbelwelle ist eine Zumutung.Ich glaube nicht dass eine Stabil und langlebig Begleiter sein wird.Wer die Mittelsäule nicht unbedingt braucht, soll es ruhen lassen.Ich empfehle dazu gleich die zusätzlich Assurant 2 Jahre Geräteschutz zu kaufen.An sich Blödsinn da sowieso 2 Jahre Gesetzlich Garantie gibt, aber damit steht man doppelt auf die sichere Seite.
