Easy to use.
Great idea for bird photography in the rain forest. Easy to protect the camera and still get to it to take photos.

OK for the PNW
I live in the PNW. I do most of my photography outdoors. I wear a sling in urban areas and a “plate carrier” when I’m out hiking. In a downpour I either get under cover or throw on a rain poncho. But most of the time I’m dealing with light showers. Everyone that lives up here for some time learns it’s not worth covering up for what’s usually light showers. That’s where this cover comes in clutch.Since I’m shooting on the go my cameras are all on PD clips mounted on the front of my sling or on my carrier. If there is a hint of rain I use these to keep my cameras covered.I’ve purchased and tried a number of different camera covers and they are mostly just a hassle. In my experience if you’re in a stationary position for a long period of time a quality poncho set up is a better way to go. If you are moving a lot, lifting and shooting these are where it’s at. They are easy to put on and take off, lightweight, sturdy, keep our gear dry, compact in a self contained small bag and easy to hook on just about anything.I’m actually writing this now because I came back to buy another one 2 years later. This is something every photographer should have in their kit.

Protects camara well
This is soft and completely waterproof. the drawstring keeps it closed around the camera while the elastic allows you to remove it quickly to not miss pictures. Only downside is condensation can build up and lens needed wiped off regularly

Great for intermittent showers.
Great for intermittent showers.I use this mostly for hiking. Can’t predict when a short heavy passing shower will occur. Many of that type of weather, if you put your camera away in a waterproof protective camera bag, a minute or 5 later the rain is totally gone. This is easy to deploy, convenient to clip to my belt for easy access, and the material is fully rainproof. It is not a bag to put your camera in, it is a cover to go over your camera!I used to use backpack rain covers, but they were really large for just covering a camera in my hand. This is better sized.I started out buying 2, I’m thinking of buying 2 more and changing the bungee cord for paracord. Not too mention, when they are rolled up in their storage bag they are very small and I’m having trouble keeping track of where I put them between uses, so I want to clip one to all of my bags or maybe have one clipped to all of my camera straps.

Works great!
We were in Alaska and I knew it was probably going to rain which is why I brought this product. Well, it rained! I whipped this out, covered up my camera, cinched down the tie and continued on with our touring. As soon as it quit raining I removed the cover and it dried very quickly. I just wish it had an opening for the lens so I could still shoot. Otherwise, it works exactly as stated.

Good Rain Cover
Just returned from 18 days in Iceland. Rained most days. Cover was excellent for Lowe camera case.

Wonderful
I got this to go over a day pack for an upcoming hiking trip in the Andes mountains of Peru. My pack is 15L and this rain cover fits it beautifully. I do believe it would fit a slightly larger pack but you will need to go up a size if your pack is much bigger. The cover has both vertical and horizontal attachment straps (which are elastic and fully adjustable). The elastic is beefy and so are the clips. And the cover itself has elastic around the edges like a shower cap.OK, to be real here, I’ve not yet tested it in heavy rain, but water does bead up on it so it will be of at least some value over my pack in rain and of course it can be sprayed with a water repellent for extra insurance. Time will tell if it’s the real deal or not, but the fit and ease of use is great. And it comes in it’s own little pouch.

This is like giving your camera a rain coat. Compact storage when not in use.

Useful for hike when the weather is uncertain. I appreciate that you can stuff your gear in it and strap it securely to your bag when not used. So far so good !
