Lightweight, strong, professional, does the job!
Here is my transcript from the video! This is my review for the Joil-can tripod. Here’s the tripod. I’m holding it because I usually use it to do my reviews on. It’s really good, it’s really good, it’s really good. And it’s well, well, well worth the price because here’s why. It’s lightweight, but not too light because you want something sturdy that’s gonna have some basis for the camera. It’s got a bunch of different controls on it. Oh, it’s even got a spirit level. I didn’t even realize that till I just started doing the video and saw it in reverse. Okay, it basically, it does a tilt, it does a pan, it does up, down. It can go, so you’re up, it can take you down. It’s a good one. I’ve used lots before. And what I like about this is, sure there’s plastic rings to it, but it’s basically aluminum, aluminum, they say here in America. And it makes it stronger and it’s firm. And that’s important because if, you know, someone accidentally knocks it, it’s gonna be nice and sturdy. I took it to Hollywood. We were going to a museum there and wanted to do some selfie stuff, ton of fun. It’s called Museum of Illusions, by the way, a lot of fun, or House of Illusions. So I’m very, very happy to give this a five stars out of five stars. And I like this. It’s the color, sort of like a burnt umber, orange hue, sunset over Malibu. All right, there you go. That’s the review. Hope it helps.

Best in it’s class by far
This review is for the Joilcan 81â aluminum tripod (H80; note that the review section for this model includes reviews of other Joilcan models). I had been looking for something solid, with minimal plastic, collapsible to a short length, and weighing less than a larger tripod I have. I also wanted a tripod convertible to a monopod. I contacted the company (quick, great service!) to confirm how this model is built, and am quite happy to find it doing everything I wanted. The only plastic to be found is the leg extension locks (which are very solid), with the main centerpiece, the heads and angle levers of the legs, and every part of the head mechanism (ball, knobs, and two camera plates), all made of metal (all appear to be anodized aluminum). The system used to convert to a monopod is all very well built, with a cushioned leg unscrewing from itâs head, then attaching to the center pole and head with a heavy metal screw assembly and threaded inserts. The legs are tipped with strong metal spikes, with heavy rubber caps, which snap onto them. The legs also fold down as small as any full sized tripod I could find, can be angled in multiple ways for height and stability, and this model straps easily to my backpack without sticking out all over. It even comes with a padded, fitted, heavy nylon bag. I am very happy with the materials, build quality, and so many features of this tripod.

Excellent Tripod Monopod!
Well built easy to use with plenty of height to get those hard to reach shots. The mono-pod is easy to use its great for nature hikes and works well as a walking stick too. All the aluminum legs are sturdy and do not flex easily they have a good rigid feeling and they lock securely independently. The ball head has a rugged feel and supports a fair amount of weight hanging off of it, having some long heavy lenses with a large camera body with extended battery pack feels totally secure. Its not a fluid head however it operates smoothly enough for those panning shots and locks in secure for those long exposures and does not feel like it would blow over with a gust of wind. Its got some weight to it so it feels very rugged and sturdy, for myself I have no problems with the extra weight. I’d much rather feel secure with thousand of dollars in equipment attached to it then feeling like it may topple over or collapse with large glass on top of it. I’m very happy with the purchase, quality and design and would recommend it if your looking for a rugged tripod-monopod setup.

I really like this.
As the description says, it’s a heavy one. Not so heavy to make it difficult but does have substantial weight to it. It also has a hook to add more weight if you need to. With that said, I really like this. It’s heavy enough to carry the weight of my rig. A lighter tripod would work but this one is alot more stable. Positioning the legs took a minute to get used to. They have a locking tab that has to be pushed in to move the legs and lock them in place. Along with being able to lock the legs in place the other controls are smoth and the level is a great tool to have when working on uneven surfaces. I haven’t tried it as a monopod but the instructions look simple enough. Accessories are included in the box. Some alen keys ,the second mounting plate and parts for the monopod. Lastly, the ability to mount something upside down for close-ups is exciting. Was never able to get that type of shot stable enough before. Can’t wait to try it out!

Put it in the cart.
Professional photographer here. I’m a wedding and event photographer, as well as a nature photographer for over 15 years. Put it in the cart.I own one of those huge telephoto lenses. You know the ones you can take a photo of a tick on the back of a deer from the next state over and it looks like its in the palm of your hand. One of those lenses. This thing doesn’t even flinch at a giant camera. It’s heavy duty, as in its sturdy doesn’t wiggle anywhere on any of its joints. Has a wonderful handle on it to pick it up. Comes with a GREAT case.Another huge thing I love is the way that the plates come off of the top. When you’re releasing the camera from the tripod you have to unscrew a little spot that releases the plate. I find this to be much better than the old style flip handle that I’ve had on other tripods.100% would recommend. Great price too.

Great for phones not for cameras
Not bad not great, the head seems to fall of pretty easily if youâre moving the camera frequently I also wouldnât trust anything too heavy on the ball head, the legs work nice but are a bit flimsy. Great for phone use not recommended for cameras
