Title: Make your you buy the right one!
Review: They are very easy to switch,BUT, when you are purchasing be aware that there are some exact models of the product, branded by GE, that do not have a chip in. I bought one from another retailer and it would not work. I got an error message and the water dispenser would not work. My current filter was produced in Mexico, the other was produced in china

Title: Easy to install, around $50 but worth it!
Review: Perfect fit! I easily found this refill water filter on Amazon. I initially…quickly read over the instructions but, not fully. As a result of not taking the time to read it in its entirety, I thought something was wrong when I went to fill my glass with water, after Installing the filter and only running a HALF GALLON tea pitcher and dumping it ( The instructions clearly state to run at least 2 gallons of water through and dump it before use!) I noticed my water was cloudy with what looked like a faint color of blue ink in it! People…don’t rush like i did, READ THE INSTRUCTIONS! They are clear and easy to follow. After realizing my error 🙃 and correcting it, everything ran smoothly. This particular brand is a little more pricey than i anticipated, however it states you can get a good 6 months or longer out of this filter so I’m pleased. This brand is pretty good and the water taste way better now. Unfortunately, my husband kept clearing the red light on the fridge that indicates its time to replace the filter 😐 this resulted in our daughter getting a nasty little surprise in her cup one night! Thankfully, she had looked before putting the top to her cup back on and dumped the entire thing.

Review: I have the GE Profile refrigerator and this is the water filter I use. It’s easy to install and good quality. Water comes out clear and tastes great. It’s more expensive than other alternatives but has smart functionality, which is a plus if you’re forgetful like me.

Review: Lasts the full 6 months for our house but doesn’t get heavy use, our tap water has a bit of a chlorine smell from time to time but the water from our fridge with this filter always tastes great and is odor free! It does it’s job and doesn’t leave little charcoal pieces in the bottom of my water jug after the ice melts like with other filters we’ve tried. Would recommend.
