   Decent Program for the Money
   This is a decent program for basic photo editing. Especially pleased that they allow download of the software immediately so there’s no waiting, then follow up with the CD by mail. The program works well but it takes a while to get used to how things work. For instance, be aware that the program doesn’t automatically save the edited photo back to the file from which it was opened. And there are a few other little things that could be simpler or more logical too. The biggest downside for me it that I can’t go back later and undo everything I did so I have to save the edited photos with different file names than the original if I want to keep the original intact. I take thousands of photos and mostly crop to show multiple details (which I don’t need to permanently save) plus I adjust brightness and contrast specific to each cropped detail so I have to save not only the original but every edited version separately. Unfortunately Microsoft’s simple editing program, part of “Windows Essentials” in Windows 7, is no longer available or supported. That was by far the most simple and effective program for my needs. I could crop and adjust a ton of photos in record time, use them, then hit “revert to original” when I was finished to save just the original photo. I guess that was too simple for these increasingly complex times! Still, FotoWorks XL does the job, just not as simply or as quickly for my own needs as Windows Essentials did. But I’m happy with my purchase and would recommend it to anyone looking for a fairly simple and decent editing program at a reasonable price. Great support from the company too. With the way things are going these days I guess you can’t ask for much more than that.

   Intuitive photo software, easy to use! Excellent customer service!
   This photo editing software is very intuitive and easy to use. The video tutorials are good for novices; a great way to familiarize oneself to the program. I researched a lot of photo software under the $100 price range before choosing this product. It has a good preview feature and undo features making changes and undoing the changes is a touch of a button. Rotating, cropping, enhancing photos are easy. It has everything I was looking for in a photo editing software, it also has borders to select from, the ability to add text, morphing, masks, collage creation, many preset effects as well as manual effects, etc.The customer support personal are very friendly and willing to help! They responded immediately to my emails, even on a Sunday!The program deserves a 4.5. I have printed successfully to a few printers, for example my Cannon MP620 color printer interfaces well with the program and I’ve printed to a Brother Laser Printer (black and white). However I can not print to my Epson XP-830. There is a work around for me. I print to pdf and then print using a pdf reader to the Epson. The printer issue with one specific printer in Windows 10 is the only issue I have found with the program.I highly recommend this product and company!

   Not For Beginners
   I think the program has a lot of potential; however, it needs an easy tutorial for beginners. Provide easy to understand instructions with “how to” visuals to help those of us who are not verbiage savvy. Thanks.

   Excellent and easy!
   I use the software semi-professionally and edit many photos. What I noticed first and foremost was that the program has a beginner-friendly user interface and is really easy to use. The photo editing functions are versatile and leave nothing to be desired. All in all, the program runs fast and fluently. Photo montages and photo collages are easy. Interestingly enough, you are supported at every point in the program by a help assistant and tutorial videos. When I am editing, the program allows me to select single photos or entire folders. You can either edit each photo individually or choose batch processing. Batch processing is helpful if you want to apply effects to all photos or change the size uniformly. Fotoworks XL is for people who want to edit, enhance, or spice up their photos and don’t want to spend hours at the computer. At the end of the day, the program makes photo editing fun. There’s no time consuming and lengthy editing necessary. The results are awesome. The photo editing software is well structured, provides many photo editing options, and is reasonably priced. I highly recommend Fotoworks XL.

   I purchased this item this photo editing soft ware. I have now tried to use it 4 time with the same results, When I try to do a project I find the font is to small then go to my computer and reset the font larger, guess what the work area is to small so off I go searching, Some of the files I work from I cannot find. It could be a wonderful program, I will never now the last time I tried to use I become so p o I threw it in the fire place instead of sending it back. It was just to much work for a simple project..

   Best bang for the buck
   My ancient version of Photoshop wouldn’t run on anything anymore, so I started looking around. I might be a mere hobbyist, but I wanted all the functions of Photoshop. Well, now, in this year of 2019 the professional package is expensive, only available from the damned “cloud”, and only good for a year. That’s just ducky if you run a graphics business and can write off the expense come April 15th. But it leaves the rest of the world hanging. So, phooey on Photoshop. I started looking around. After searching I found Fotoworks XL, 2019 version. I love it. Right after placing the order the key was emailed to me, and an actual, for-real install disc showed up just a few days later, all the way from Germany. I haven’t had the time over these last few weeks to completely explore all the functions, but it does seem to have everything that high dollar software has, and it’s definitely easy to use. The best part is the price tag!!!!! Not only is it easy on the wallet, but it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to cipher what these things should be priced at in the first place. If you’re not sure what to install, do yourself a favor and get Fotoworks XL.

   This is the EASIEST program to use! An absolute beginner can start the program and use it right away, without tutorials. And a professional can benefit from the numerous features. No matter what you have to do to tweak your photos (or turn them into art), feature icons stay at the side column, so you can jump back and forth without ever leaving the page. For example, you can fix the exposure, draw/paint, add text, etc. all on ONE page. I used Photoshop Elements, but this is much faster to learn. It only takes a few SECONDS to get going because everything is clearly marked, pop-up hints guide you, and help button is simple to use. I used Corel Paintshop, but still haven’t mastered it after a few months. I was hesitant because this product comes from Germany, so it wouldn’t arrive for at least a few weeks, but I received a registration key to download and use the product the same day, as soon as payment is made, while waiting for the physical DVD to arrive. The program is in excellent English language, (or French, or whatever language you choose), no problems at all with translation. Excellent service from seller. I most definitely recommend this!!!

   Compared to many programs extremely easy to use and provides the basics, but there are a few issues IMHO that could be improved on. Also please note if it does have these features listed below then I apologize, but I haven’t found them yet.a) Cropping option is limited. For example if one wishes to do ‘a cut out’ just around an image it is impossible to do so, as appears can only use a square grid format so you end up with an unwanted border. If this feature was offered, one could create their own clip art to add to a collage for example.b) Text placement is limited as only rotates. In other words it cannot be ‘curved’ however can be sized and there is a large variety of scripts to choose from.c) There is an option of ‘undo’ however you are prompted to ‘save’ as you progress so errors cannot be corrected. In other words; depending upon your project you may have to start over.d) There was occasion when adding a piece of clip art to a project (in png format) that I ended up having to shut down and reboot my computer …. cause unknown. Kindly note this is when using Windows 7.To conclude; all said I would recommend this program to the novice and salute the creators and vendor as was able to download it immediately and from the many reviews customer service appears to be excellent.

   A reasonably priced substitute for the more expensive and complicated high end photo manipulation programs. FotoWorks contains all the features most users need for correcting and enhancing photos and is easier to use by far than PhotoShop . I am enjoying using this program and am pleased with the results..

    Nice easy program, was just looking for a basic program to open my raw files and do some touch ups. I have not usedall the features yet, but it does what I was looking for, and very pleased with it.
