Reasonable price, very easy to use, works great
All of a sudden, my laptop lost its Bluetooth capability, just when I was using to watch streaming while I waited for Amazon to deliver my new TV. I needed Bluetooth in order to link a soundbar to the laptop. It’s hard to watch new episodes of 1923 on laptop speakers and I’m not a fan of earbuds. The laptop couldn’t detect any Bluetooth devices and had no Bluetooth capability. I updated my drivers and went through the Windows troubleshooting. As far as I could tell, the Bluetooth hardware in the laptop broke. I was so frustrated that I was tempted to rage quit and slam dunk the laptop in the rubbish bin.But then I realized that many hardware options can be added by using a USB device. Sure enough they make Bluetooth adaptors, and TP-Link adaptor works great, and for only $10! My laptop instantly recognized the adaptor and I was streaming with great sound in no time. Thanks TP-Link!

Works wit h Linux Ubuntu/Mint, butâ¦.
It works out of the box with Linux Mint 22.1 and probably Ubuntu tgat it is based on out of the boxsith no drivers. However, system reports speeds only 12Mbs which means it dies not use advance features of modern Bluetooth. So do not expect features of 5.3 until Linux development starts working on them. Other thsn that you can pair it with single device like keyboard, trackpad or mice. I have not tried ot it with headphones, but I assume it should work even at that low speed. What TP-Link supports is one thing and what specific OS supports or alliows is another. Everything depends on chipset used by manufacturer. This one has basic support for advanced chipset. If manufacturer used drivers on hardware tgat could make it universal and did not require specific OS like Windows or installation of drivers by manufacturer I would give it five stars. I would give it five also if it had drivers for all mainstream operating systems and not only Windows. It is time torcognize tgat even AMD supports Linux as Linux desktops make to mainstram slowly.

Great for Headphones
Works as expected and much better than the built-in bluetooth on my computer. Mainly bought so I could listen to music wirelessly on the PC with my Sony WH-1000XM2 headphones. The connection and audio quality are stable, no audio delay. It sounds just like connecting your headphones to your phone. No setup required either. Plug in and you’re good. For best results, you should check Device Manager on Windows to make sure your old bluetooth in Device Manager is disabled, and if your headphones have a mic, you should disable the mic in Settings > Sound > All sound devices > Input devices > (Your device) > Don’t allow. This will make sure Windows is using your better mic and the audio output is not compromised.

I have a Lenovo M720q with an added RX 6400 GPU. Since it didnât come with an M.2 WiFi/Bluetooth card, I needed a simple Bluetooth dongle for wireless headphones. Even though this one wasnât advertised for Linux, I read that it might workâso I gave it a try.I plugged it in, turned on the system, enabled Bluetooth in Big Picture Mode, and it worked instantlyâno setup required. For reference, Iâm running true SteamOS 3 (not Chimera or Bazzite). SteamOS installed fine on my Intel-based M720q with the RX 6400, though after the first reboot, I got a black screen for 20â30 minutes. I initially thought the install had failed, but after waiting, it launched into first-time setup and has worked perfectly since.A note for M720q users with a GPU:Lenovo has some odd power limitations that can throttle the CPU. You can fix this via the terminalâjust search for the YouTube video “Lenovo M720q: The Ultimate Budget Bazzite OS Gaming PC Build – BD-PROCHOT fixed.” The method shown there is for Bazzite, but the process is similar for SteamOSâjust tweak the code slightly for an Arch-based system.
