What Canadian Voters Want from Their Next Prime Minister
Citizens in Windsor, Ontario, the center of Canada’s automotive sector, expressed their worries regarding tariffs, inflation, and President Donald Trump.
“I am really curious to see which prime minister can confront President Trump, as he tends to be quite aggressive. We need someone in Parliament who can take a stand. Trump’s comments about making Canada the 51st state and the tariffs are concerning, and I voted today to ensure we have a prime minister who can tackle these issues.” “What is happening in the U.S. affects Canada, particularly our economy. We are Canadians and we are resilient. We’re used to voicing our opinions, but it feels like he is trying to impose things on us, and we cannot accept that.” “A lot is missing right now, and we need it immediately. Current market rates are extremely high. People can’t afford homes like they used to. Rent is also unaffordable; many can’t even manage to live in a single room. The previous party didn’t demonstrate the capability to make improvements for everyone.” “I have always been a liberal supporter and will remain so. I hope to see progress in tackling homelessness, providing affordable housing for all, and securing good jobs. Everyone desires these changes, and we can only hope that whoever is elected will strive to make this a reality.”
