A handy diffuser in a pinch
This isn’t going to work miracles, but it is effective for what it is. Compared to a hot shoe flash alone, this will help soften shadows and even out lighting. The best results where when I aimed the flash head up for a ceiling bounce, but this diffuser also allows some light to hit the subject directly. This resulted in very even lighting in my test photos, with no hot spotting. It’s small and lightweight, so it will fit into a camera bag with no problem for those “just in case” situations.Note that both diffusers are identical. The listing made it look like one had a solid back and the other was diffuse all around, but both have the black backing.

nice diffuser to reduce harsh light
This diffuser works well for HVL-F60M. I love HVL-F60M because the TTL works so well I always get the right exposure when I point the speedlight toward the ceiling when I use this indoor. However, when I want to direct the light directly on a subject, the light becomes too harsh even the result is still good. I use this diffuser, the result is better because it materially reduce the overexposure.This diffuser fits so well for my speedlight. I like that it has a narrow neck. It doesn’t need to use a velcro to stay in tact in my speedlight. I also like that this diffuser has 2 wires that help maintain the diffuser maintain its shape. This diffuser has a black/light blocking light on the back side. This helps focusing the light from going to the backside when I point the speedlight to the ceiling. For his reason, I don’t need to remove this diffuser when I point the speedlight to the ceiling. Because of the simplicity of this diffuser, this works with any model or brand.
